I read an article that the 'unbundling' had been completed in Nov 2011, just can't find the relevant link at the moment.

Mine is unbundled around 2009 - 2010......... the price then dropped.

Now this could also "allegedlly" be applied to a disgruntled Orange/EE employee and the possible loss of revenue with all these customers calling them, more so a newbie on a internet forum who has spent most there 31 posts telling customers they can do nothing as Orange are doing nothing wrong, care to put your money where your mouth is for legal opinion from a barrister on behalf of one or a class action group of the affected customers ?

    Didnt think so..........

Not much room to maneuver for you Diamonds if he has got it right.

Personally I'm undecided either way at the moment.

Interesting post beelzecubz - I ask for evidence and you snip-quote another forum member's post? :rotfl:

I guess our definitions of what constitutes evidence differ vastly. :)

That said, it is clearly apparent that neither of us is going to sway the other to their viewpoint (which is what they are - opinions not facts), so I'll refrain from responding further to your posts. (I fully expect you to respond to this - so please, have the last word.) :)

This does NOT mean I won't be responding further in this thread. ;)

You asked for evidence. I'd have said OFCOM's response to the query was just that.

I take no pleasure in the fact you won't be responding to me further, as in reality, you're the only poster to have tested my knowledge and experience in this area. I doubt I'd have done half the research I did without that.

Whatever you may think, my 'opinions' and 'viewpoints', are based much deeper in that knowledge and experience than you're plainly willing to give me credit for.

OFCOM's response cements what I said about the broadband not being part of the mobile contract, an 'opinion' I've held since I started to post in this thread. It doesn't mean I'm gloating, or happy for it to be so, because I'm not, I just think people should be aware of as many facts as possible before mounting more than likely unwinnable small claims court action due to the wording of the mobile contract, the wording of the broadband component and the fact people agreed to those contracts/T+C's without fully understanding them.

You're more likely to have been told that if you feel you've been mis-sold your contract to talk with the mobile department. The Broadband department can't comment on whether or not you've been mis-sold a contract because they don't have access to your mobile contract.

Is it possible to put personal attacks to one side and collectively look for a way forward?
Acknowledging constructive comments/arguments, some may accept and acknowledge information given, but others will want to exhaust all avenues, and I am one who will.

I am slowly, following days of research, coming to the opinion Orange have dotted the ‘I’s’ and crossed the ‘T’s’ in terms of their T&C’s…… and will be sat smugly thinking they have their customers over a barrel.
I am unable to find T&C's relating to my free BB which was in July 2006.......can only find from October 2006.

    However: Fact:
Orange retained their Mobile Contract Customers by offering ‘Free BB for Life’ as an inducement to renew their Mobile Contract for a minimum term, and most of us relied upon that representation that Orange would not remove this incentive, certainly, it was not foreseeable at the time of renewal this would be to my detriment some 5months into a new contract.

    Fact:
Customers are now under duress to accept the current offer which is a substantial variation in terms, and has to be acceptable……which for me, it is not.

If you check, you will see that while there has been 248 replies on this thread, there have been 12,528 views; indicating the traffic, and interest this thread has attracted. Does this not indicate just how many people are interested/affected?? But simply do not wish to join the forum and post; maybe put off by some of the volatility of the members.
And remember some of these readers may be Orange representatives.
  • I'm a long time lurker of this thread, first time poster. Some of the posts on here have been a little heated so I've waited for it to calm down a bit before posting.

I'm a long time orange customer and I'm totally appalled they are pulling this stunt. I have 2 mobile contracts which I have only recently renewed, on the basis that the free broadband offering was the only thing that made it competitive for me. 2 iPhone contracts and broadband unlimited comes in at £77pcm, and they want me to pay more! I think not! Not after the inflation busting price hike in January too!

I've yet to receive a letter or email but it's on it's way no doubt. This is more annoying by the fact that my exchange is not an LLU one so it'll cost me even more to change ISP!

Oh well I've only got 20 months of my contract still to run(!)
