  • Just come of the phone to OFCOM. Spoke to a nice guy who asked what I wanted to complain about. I said "OFCOM" as I feel our complaints are not being taken seriously. He said what were the complaints in relation to, I said Orange. He knew immediatly what it was about, so they have had thousands. He did suggest I go to CISAS and I said that that was not possible as it was deemed a "business decision" by Orange and this was not covered in their capacity. He then said the only way forward was to take legal action.

I personally would like to know how many people 10 Downing street require in order to have a petition discussed in Parliament????
This situation has only highlighted to me that there seems to be a lot of people out there in bed with each other!!!

So Mr Cameron, for once in your life give the consumers a fair chance and stop letting Corporate companies walk over everyone with legal loopholes!!! it is disgusting.

Get an ofcom reference, if this counts for you regarding misselling of mobile phone contract as broadband would be free whilst you have a mobile phone contract.
Phone executive office with reference from ofcom, explain reason for complaint if this applies to you, is mis selling of mobile phone contract ( you wouldn't of taken out contract if you knew the broadband offer would be withdrawn) as this was the selling point for you.

The executive team have told me that they are honouring free bb to existing mobile phone contracts who currently receive free bb until the contract expires.
I have a recording of this and I got permission to record the conversation.

Ocom is dependant on Orange and the others to financially exist, its far from a "regulator" & more cosy cosy between the sheets.

    Oxford dictionary:
    Definition of regulator
    noun
    • a person or thing that regulates something, in particular:
    • a person or body that supervises a particular industry or business activity: regulators of privatized utilities industry regulators
    • a device for controlling the rate of working of machinery or for controlling fluid flow, in particular a handle controlling the supply of steam to the cylinders of a steam engine: the driver had opened the regulator to ease forward [as modifier]: a speed regulator
    • a device for adjusting the balance of a clock or watch in order to regulate its speed.
Ofcom will be up next for closure, Ofgem is being disbanded under new Energy Bill, self regulation FAILED in banking, energy & telecoms....

You should all be contacting Ofcom's part financer & ultimate boss about how Ofcom has conisistantly failed consumers over its licencees since it was set up & how Ofcom are letting Orange treat consumers when Orange is breaking UK legislation just because it falls outside Ofcom''s direct UK legislation:

    http://www.culture.gov.uk/about_us/our_ministers/default.aspx

Do nothing and Ofcom will continue to be a spineless regulator it is, be pro active people, self regulating industries & regulators bank on your silence to continue POOR regulation in licencee favour !!
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Have done all that. Spoke to the Executive Office at Orange today. Awaiting confirmation of an agreed continuation of my BB until June 2014. But still disgusted by Orange management at their reluctance to give us all BB across the board.

As Ive said in previous posts there is a much bigger picture here. They want our landlines.:rotfl:

Which makes it all the more surprising to me that so many are handing over landlines, and surprising that so many are happy to stay with Orange if they get the free BB for length of upgrade.

I dont understand why most dont move their BB then follow eva49 process to get out of their mobile contracts penalty free. Still each to their own! Lucky orange getting to 'keep' all these customers!

Hi after speaking to the Exec office two days ago in respect of what i thought was a simple issue in relation to my broadband how shocked i was to find their attitudes were very difference as my usual lady was off. They was unhelpful very irritating and i'll not be talking to anybody from there but the usual lady again!

No wonder so many people get nowhere when calling them! if you want my advice... dont speak to anybody but a manager, and if they are no help talk to their manager instead!

A very big contrast from dealing with people whom are supposedly from the same department.

    Indeed.

Orange buy line rental at BT Wholesale price, consumer pricing is almost double, its all about keeping revenue up whilst mobile call termination rates are falling thanks to the EU Telecom Commission. What EU take with one hand telecoms take with another, add to that a spineless UK regulator Ofcom & is it any wonder.

Quite frankly Ofcom should not allow profits to be made on BT Wholesale line rental, that would create a fairer & more competitive market to start with, more so for broadband only consumers given Ofcom do not allow naked broadband with no line rental creating a double standard & again Ofcom allows its licencee's to rape consumers financially.

    It's all Between The Sheets.

Are you saying that Ofcom have made the ruling that standalone BB is not to be allowed? - Or have I misinterpreted that?

I suspect that during the next year this will give and people will get to use BT's landlines for BB only at a fair charge (my guess £5 a month) for BB only with no home phone.

There are many campaigns over this, and this game of paying for a home phone with line rental exceeding 12 a month when a high % of people just buying the service for BB and not using the home phone.

Time will tell - but i am glad to be out of Orange and on a monthly contract with plusnet awaiting such a move.
