This is the company Orange have outsourced the Broadband change over to. So when ever you call the number off the letter, or speak to the special team this is who you are talking to.

Hence why the executive office seems to has no idea what's going on.... because they actually dont.

montage you may be right but I asked the scottish lady who called me earlier today to tell me when I last called Orange about my broadband.

This was a `loaded` question - I am aware that there was talk of Orange out sorcing these calls, I had called Orange this morning trying to blag a Brightbox, she was able to tell me this when she called me at around 12:15 pm.

I say you may be right as I have made some major `ish waves with emails I have been sending to Orange - Olaf Swantee, a manager who sorted me out earlier in the year when the price rises were announced & my executive office case manager. Also copying ofcom, watchdog, my mp & a reporter I know who has a nice email address showing the papers publishers domain name. It could just be a coincidence of course but I don`t know if I was called because it was my turn or because of the waves I am making.

Oh, and my mate the reporter is not in a position to help us, I just called him first to let him know and copied him in to try to hurry Orange up.

    Dear Mr Cherry
Further to my various communications with your colleague Sandra Sutton, she has informed me that you are now handling my complaint.

"It is clear to me and those others in contact with Ofcom that Orange are misleading Ofcom with regards to their not promising Free Broadband on renewal of their mobile contracts.

Please accept this email as a formal request under the Freedom Of Information Act to supply us with transcripts of the meeting(s) held with Orange as a result of the multitude complaints received by Ofcom about the issue of removal of Free broadband."

    Hi Nick,

Just a thought but do you need to ask for copies of all the contacts between Ofcom & Orange ?

I say this because it is quite possible there have been no `meetings` between them, it may be there have only been phone calls or letters.

They may not volunteer this information without it being specifically asked for. i don`t know how these information requests work but I do know how `slippery` these organisations can be.

    ....

I guess it all depends which department it was which called as i think Orange have their own in house Broadband team along with a clearly outsourced technical department in India.

It was really information to confirm Oranges special department which many of us have been waiting for is in fact an out sourced call centre in Glasgow working for Orange with limited access to their systems.

I think anybody like yourself who has been emailing executives office and of such are being called back by Direct Orange staff. I for one sure know now how the tone of the conversation is totally different between outsourced and Orange direct calls.

All i can say to others is if you think you have been miss-sold don't listen to their very convincing arguments. The speech has been very very well rehearsed and would probably leave the average Joe totally despondent and signing on the dotted line.

BUT... if Orange have not miss-sold contracts and are totally in the wrong then why are they giving people anything and everything to price match line rental, call packages and losses incurred by the move just so they are not at a loss when moving their line.

They will give up to £120 for line rental saver losses, Match BT line rental at £10.75 a month, and any call packages you have. The catch? its for the duration of your contract and then it reverts to standard charges but must be taken for 12 months... and you must remain an Orange Customer.

I feel being made to sign a contract that takes you over and out of your mobile contract time period is not something acceptable.

Myself i have 5 months remaining... leaving 7 months of a broadband contract when i am out of my mobile contract and will be shopping around. They have stated once my mobile contract is out all offers are out of the window BUT i am required to stay a customer regardless.

I think they mays well act on my letter of intent as unfortunately they don't know when to suck it up and stop trying to pull a fast one.

Just got rid of paid broadband contract. After kids got home around 3.30 it was rubbish, slow or no connection.Rang c/s several times to complain, told me to do all sorts, eventually let me leave 12 months early confirming it was a contention issue(too many customers crammed onto central pipe) Found i was not the only one, thanks to Thinkbroadband.co.uk forum.

Not sure what this post is about, clearly not Orange involved.

No I have not received any communication from Orange regarding stopping my broadband and I have not contacted them. I have received a letter stating my account is transferring to EE soon.

    + 1

I'm pretty sure when there is an overflow of calls that Glasgow and Prague (outsourced call centres) get the calls, to be fair they do seem to be clued up.

Yes your right they are much better than Orange, but they are just your run of the mill target driven sales staff who are there to push you into it just like the sales staff did who sold me my mobile contract with free broadband for life on.

Is there an alternative provider that you can have monthly 'unlimited' broadband? In your situation in your claim, you may need to include the buy out cost of a new providers 12 month contract, because you only need 5 months.

This could be an expensive mistake for Orange.

    ...

Indeed i believe BT do an unlimited service for a nice monthly fee of £26 per month, but i am forced to have it for 18 months thought. So i guess i'll be claiming for £468.00 - £18 as three months is reduced. You've gotta be fair with these things.
