Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all :)

Been busy, and muggy here today :( Not long had a text from ex saying that he's taking DD for tea somewhere in Leeds before he brings her home (he did ask who was to feed her, I said it was up to her, she picked him & burger king:D :p ) so I'm just enjoying the last hour or so of peace by finishing off some jobs. I should really do some ironing but its too hot.

Went to Mr A earlier and picked up DDs uniform :D Apparently there was a problem with the delivery so their system was saying it was in transit when in fact it was sitting in the stores warehouse :rotfl: Got home and my phone went off with the text & email telling me it was now in store :rotfl::rotfl: Oh well, I don't mind. Its hanging up atm to uncrease it. DD is going to be dressed all in black for school except her blouses and PE tshirt!

    Tues: Hydrotherapy for DD 1pm
    Wed:
    Thur: Order for work,
Fri: Clinic for DD 10am to see about a doctors note for school & see how she's progressing so I can inform her new school of where we stand.
Sat: DD out with her dad (in theory as this is the norm, but we haven't had a normal weekend all summer:rotfl:)
    Sun:
    Mon: bank holiday

    This week to do:
    • Phone OU re funding for course
    • Phone primary school and see if they would let me be there as a student again. If no answer then email! (They did say I could be a volunteer, but if I was a student it'd need to be done officially.)
    • Order DD's uniform labels
    • Still to buy: school shoes, trainers, lunch box, bobbles
    • Email DDs new school re a chance to go and see someone about her starting in September and her limitations/arrangements for her getting around class plus summer school which starts a week on Tuesday! Hopefully, apart from PE she should be classed as a 'normal' pupil, just depends on how long she needs to stay on crutches for. I'm only concerned as its separate buildings in an old school so there's lots of walking between lessons, up and down steps, but its more the crowds of kids moving around and knocking her that I'm worried about! :o
    • Email upliner
    • Bus pass form to print & submit
    • Passport photos for DD's bus pass
    Mon:
    Ironing
    Make beds
    Colour on hair

Monday - Kitchen & Dining Room
    Level One
    Clear and mop/hoover floors
    Level Three
Dust a bookcase - are there any books that can go?
    Extras
Catch up on any phone calls

Okay, think I might ring the OU if I can find the right number to phone. Or I might have to add it to the list for tomorrow now I've just seen the time!:o

    Hi all,

I'm in thanks for the lists.

Oh no poor piggy nev :(

Well it's fair to say that last week was the week from hell. Involving police and social services and it's far from over yet. I need some normality and routine before i go crazy so i am back.

    Today i have

    Sorted rabbits
    Fed kitten
Taken Kitten to vets for jabs
    Popped to see nev
    Packed sales
    Ds1 washed up
Took Ds1 to spend his money from his Dad and did a bit of shopping and went to Mcd's
Filled my car up with petrol
    Unpacked shopping
2 loads of washing on line
    1 load in wm
Been to PO to post parcels
Got some stamps while i was there

Just about to cook tea and then i'll do some more. I'll sort out a list then too.

Pigpen - switched freezer off last night. How long would you leave it before trying again?

I'd leave the door open so it melts quicker.. possibly put towels in the bottom to soak up water and leave 48 hours at least... hopefully that would fix it.

Really shouldn't complain . . . but it's tooooo hot. At least the washing dried but I certainly haven't done the ironing. Oddly I quite enjoy doing the ironing in the winter (especially with something good on the radio). Perversely there always seems to be more in the summer (cotton shirts and stuff, I suppose).

Upstairs thoroughly hoovered - beds moved and all. I am quite impressed with myself! It's probably something everybody else takes for granted and does it three times a week or something. I am such a lazy git and tend to only do the bits that show. A throwback from when I was living alone and working stupid hours. Now, is that an excuse or a reason? Hmmm.

Currently waiting for someone to come and take a look at a big scrape on OH's car. I think it looks like something he's done. Silly me!! Any scratch etc on his car is always done by someone else. Funny how he didn't admit to a bit scratch which magically appeared on my car when he drove it! Good job I'm tolerant.

Thanks, pigpen. I left the door open once I'd emptied it and most parts inside now feel warm to the touch. There doesn't seem to be much water, though. MIL has promised to make a bit of space for me in her freezer and I'll talk to NN later.

Steak tomorrow and either shepherd's pie or lasagne on Wednesday. The rest will probably have to go in someone's freezer.

I'm not sure of your DD's situation but at my school children on crutches are allowed to leave class 5 minutes early and have a friend accompany them to carry their bag and open the doors. This means they can avoid the 'crush' on the stairs.

We also have a base for those who can't manage all day so they can have work brought to them there instead for part of the day if they are getting too tired. HTH
