Morning - and another dopey one for me.

Going to try to have another day of bits and pieces today - see how I get on.

Can anyone help me with removing limescale deposits from the ends of my stainless steel taps? I might have something gloopy in my cupboard, but if there is a more MSE way that saves me turning out the cupboard (not a good idea today), I'll make that my challenge for today.

    lemon juice?

soak a strip off cotton wool (or a bit of kitchen roll or a strip of old towel) in lemon juice, wrap round the tap and, if they are really bad, cover with a plastic bag secured with an elastic band and leave for a while.

I fill a small plastic bag with vinegar, pop it over the tap and elastic bag in place making sure the vinegar is covering everything. Leave overnight. Should wipe away in the morning if not repeat nightly.

Plan is to just get downstairs ship shape, go to the shops and charity cricket day.

Exactly what I was going to suggest! We're lucky enough not to have hard water here but saw this suggested on superscrimpers or something similar.

I regret going away for a few days earlier in the month, you know how you really notice the clutter when you get back? And I can smell the ever present damp. I am tempted to do photos of every room for myself as it seems to be the only way I see the mess - like looking at a photo of yourself and realising you have got fat.

Lots getting done, I just need to keep chipping away in 30 minute blocks.

    Midday HHC anyone?

Thanks Dusty and Pigpen - mostly lurking

Loads done, only just stopped. OH is joining in and has fixed the problem with the toilet flush, and doing lots of weedkilling for me.
Boys have tidied their bedrooms which is lovely.
