Betty.. it's not funny.. it was disgusting the dirt that came out of it was shocking.. I feel a right tramp!!
and it needs doing again, now.
Anyway, having hoovered through upstairs the only room needing sorting is the DR. The Valligirl's at her dad's; the Valliboy is not playing foorball so it *might* get done tomorrow. Just got the feature wall to have coat number 2 and the varnishing to do.
Sadly there will not now be time to redecorate the LR; not this holiday, anyway.

Morning....
The kitchen is rather clean. :A
I've just finished decorating it, just a new light fitting, some cupboards to clean out (which aren't bad in the first place) and a major scrub of the floor to go.
Both bathrooms are fine. I can sparklificate them this week with polish.
Stair carpet needs vacuuming, but the rest is spotless. Hall is clear, polish all that's required.
Living room needs shinies, but nothing else doing. A mop wouldn't hurt, though.
Just the bedrooms - two beds to make, two floors to vacuum, a couple of bits to put away and that's about it.
The decorating is getting harder, as I want colours that tone but aren't identical. And are quite relaxing. And have undertones of green, rather than blue, yellow or suchlike. Argh. I'm thinking light grey in hall, slightly darker grey in living room, light grey in northfacing bedroom, taupey colour in south facing, really bright bedroom, but still undecided on that.
Seeing as I want to bring colours from the other rooms into each one to sort of unify things, I'm really making this more difficult than I need to, probably. And I need to source a suitable dark offcut of carpet for the landing.
Maybe I should return to the safety of glass cleaner and polish, rather than chalky matt emulsion, eggshell and Frog Tape?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I cleaned the bathrooms for 3 hours yesterday. Proper deep cleaning. Caustic soda down plug holes. Litres of limescale remover. Lots of elbow grease shining mirrors, taps, shower screens. It looks like a showroom now.
Sadly the WM has died. The only people who did next day delivery are NEXT so I'm waiting in between 9-1. Shiny new Samsung 9kg is on the way. My bank account is cleared out. I had to buy a new iron this week so I really am in the poor house.
Anyways better go and tidy the utility room in perpetration for the imminent delivery.....
Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful Sunday.0 -
Morning lovelies!
It's lovely and sunny at the moment :j WM is on with littley's bedding, I spent a while yesterday tea-time sorting out her boxes of junk and stuff, so loads more flung and the 2 underbed storage boxes I bought weeks ago are now filled with keepable stuff and under her bed :T Actually I'm going to give myself a pat on the back cos considering I don't have a useable loft I think I'm doing quite well.
Just planted up 2 pots with colourful autumn flowers for the front of the house, just to brighten it up, will go either side of the front door  had a tidy whilst I was outside too. Plants bought at Aldi so I'm expecting great things.
Unloaded the DW and put them away, reloaded with a few bits, cleaned the kitchen and ummed and arred whether to put the airer full of clothes out (yes I finally loaded the airer lol) If it stays sunny for the next hour then they're going out.
Tried the heating last night to see if all was well, 2 rads need bleeding so will have to purchase a rad key, but otherwise all is ok on that score.
Going to do a hoover through soon, and think about the ironing pile.

Morning - and another dopey one for me.
Going to try to have another day of bits and pieces today - see how I get on.
Can anyone help me with removing limescale deposits from the ends of my stainless steel taps? I might have something gloopy in my cupboard, but if there is a more MSE way that saves me turning out the cupboard (not a good idea today), I'll make that my challenge for today.Work is not my Hobby0 -
Morning All
So far today I've washed dishes, cooked breakfast and half filled the bin. I'm trying to sort out a load of files and paperwork and sort out my computer cabinet.
Have a good day all
