Living room has been done top to toe including decluttering, cobwebbing, blinds, skirtings, hoovered under the furniture, sofa's hoovered and cleaned, electricals wiped and floor mopped. Thanks kids (DH disappeared). Have also rearranged the understairs cupboard to accommodate DH's anniversary present of a case of Bordeaux Star Vintages of the Decadedrinking-41.GIF hope he enjoys them, although it does mean I have to photograph them and find out about them to add them to his wine list.

Trying to get DD to walk the dog then we can go to see my Dad as its his birthday. Will go and do some more in the mean time then may consider heading out on my bike again later.
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Well done to Valli's DD, Pigger's DS and anyone I have missed.

Ironing mountain is no more for now. I have finally refunded for my duplicate delivery from a certain music store online it has taken weeks and lots of phone calls. I won't be tempted to go there again.

Been chemist for more eye drops (DS1)not expecting them to have the prescription after the trouble I have had recently and they were there together with DS2 meds which aren't due until next week.
Excellent as we are elsewhere from Monday.
I have been sorting some hot spots for recycling stuff and have also found a missing gift card.
Time to make DS2 tea and do the 4o'clock shuffle.

Pigpen - hope you get some more sleep tonight

Hugs to everyone else who needs them

I've been to Oxford today - shopping, never again!! I'm sure its a really lovely place normally but the world and his wife were there today and it was soooo noisy and why do shops insist on playing music so loud you can't hear yourself think, if you see someone walk into a shop, listen to the awful music and then walk out - that'll be me!! I never shop somewhere if the music is loud! And why do people insist on having very loud conversations to someone who is inches away, my Mum is completely deaf in one ear and I don't shout to be heard so others shouldn't especially when I'm near them humph, grump and moan!!

The house is a flippin pit again, oh I'm sick of clearing up and everyone dumping their crap everywhere!! Time to have a moan out loud I think

    Sorry for going on

Nothing like another teen really being out of order to take the shine off of another wise good day is there :( Planning my next move but not quite sure what it is going to be :(

Piggers - your DS has done brilliantly, I hope he enjoys college

Dancemum - the whole system is very confusing even for those of us in the business (I invigilate and am a Governor at a school)

Valli well done to Miss V

No flying other than laundry. Need to think about dinner now but feeling a tad sick, upset does that to me.

    Ed Update

Had a lovely afternoon catching up with friends at a Tea party organised to raise more funds for Ed. They raised over £500. I spent a long time chatting to Ed's Dad and Ed is doing well. He is coming home for another visit this weekend for 3 nights. His speech is coming a long well, all his vocab is there just needs to work on speed, pitch etc. There is still a long way to go but Ed has in his Dad's words 'woken up happy' which is great as he said some people emerge from their comas angry etc. His long term memory is very good but he is lacking short term memory which makes tasks hard so this is another area where lots of work will be needed and new skill to learn to adjust to this.

Thank you for reading and for the months of love and support you have all shown a family you have never met xx

  • Dustykitten, that is such good news about Ed. What a relief for his family and all the people that know him and love him.

Here are some more good wishes for him, for his continued progress, and for happier days to come. R x
