Protect Your Bubble - Warning - Worst Insurance Provider in the UK

I have had a business account with Protect your Bubble for two years. we have 4 phones through the company and my pre requisite was that 24 hour replacement was available as it was a necessity for our business. This was utterly assured to me at the point of sale two years ago.
Customer service have nor informed me that it appears I was miss -sold and it will take 1-5 working days to try to locate the phone call that I had at the point of sale. so now, it will take up to 5 working days to confirm I am correct and then it will take a further time to correct the situation.
I cannot function without a business mobile as my work is dependant on it. Thus the reason I am so very clear on insurance policies.
We have not made a claim in 2 years, this is the first claim and they have completely changed their assurances.
The time it will take to investigate will effect my business so I will have to buy a new phone immediately. It has been utterly pointless paying expensive monthly cover and Protect Your Bubble have missold a product

Touch wood, but I did not have had a problem with them as yet.
I only just insured my surface pro 3, and a few weeks later the screen cracked.
A week later i found out they will reimburse the value of the tablet,.. which will be in my account soon (3 to 5 days).
No arguing about it. SO now I am waiting for the money and will update but so far so good0 -

Took out a policy from this Group via my bank as a packaged deal. Lifestyle Group, Protect your bubble, Assurant are all the same company. The policy was easy nough to get sort and I had access via my bank to information.
During a night out I lost my phone, when I noticed this I was horrified and looked everywhere for it but to no avail. No problem I thought I have insurance. Made a claim over the telephone and awaited documents to arrive for me to fill out. Now online it says 1 day service for them to assess your claim. Even on the telephone the lady said 1 day. Next day as promised forms arrived and I filled in and posted back.
THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS - phone them up to see if they have my claim and yes they do. However it's been passed to the fraud department as something was coming up on there system. No problem I thought these guys need to make sure my claim is genuine. So now they ask for proof of purchase that I send over by email. Now they want proof that the IMEI was attached to my phone, get this from o2 and send over. Phone up again and get told the fraud department are assessing my claim and they will call me. I ask when? And Nathan tells me there is no timescale. I eventually get a call from Sam in the fraud department. In my view this person is a bully boy and ask irrelevant questions to scare you. I'm confident he would do well working for some secret government department! He was rude and to be honest so was I. I eventually withdraw my claim cause i am feeling intimidated.
3 months later I am feeling better as I have been ill and I ask Lifestyle Group to re-open my claim. I do this in the form of a complaint. Nothing really happens so I take to Twitter and email the chief executive. I then call his PA and she advises me she will address the complaint and pass to the appropriate team. Eventually I get a call from a lady from customer relations and she tells me she is dealing with my complaint. I get a call from the fraud department - thankfully bully boy Sam must be way on a piece mission for NATO. There does appear to be humans in the fraud department because the lady was very nice. She asks me 1 question I answer it and she then request a copy bill. I immediately send this over to her. Within 1 hour customer relations are back on the phone. To my delight they have now accepted my claim and have made a cash offer. As I have a new phone I was happy to accept. I've been assured that the money will be transferred to my account on Monday as their system was having an error. ( surprise surprise)
Due to the whole process I have made a serious complaint and allegations regarding Lifestye group, protect your bubble and Assurant (all same company). This is currently under review and I suppose I should give them the opportunity to respond.
This is not the end of the matter, it is my intention to pursue this company all the way - via the courts if needed. They must not and will not get away with the way the treat clients.
Due to the way I was treated at the beginning I would honestly say stay away folks. I believe my claim was paid out only because I made so much noise . In my own opinion I must express that this may be the worst mobile phone insurer out there. Please google this company and make your own informed choice.0 -
Just a heads up and word of caution to those who are in search of gadget cover. There have been many adverts on the tube and on TV by protectyourbubble.com guaranteeing a 48hr replacement of your gadget.
If anyone is thinking about taking out gadget insurance please let my experience as well as googling their company name warn you not to. They are the worst company that I have come in contact with.
A little bit of background, my iPhone 4 was insured 8 months ago with Barclaycard which has subsequently transferred their responsibilities to protect your bubble. When my phone was stolen recently I contacted my mobile provider to stop the phone and the police to alert them of the incident. After 3 weeks of fill in this form, provide that detail and a 3 way call arranged between myself and the mobile provider as well as protect your bubble they finally agreed to replace my phone. When I paid the £50 excess and 6 months extra insurance fee they said your gadget will be with you soon. The next day I call up their customer services to enquire about the status of the order and delivery of the replacement phone I get a gentleman who tells me it's a complete lie that the website advertises 48hr0 -
:D:DI have insurance with protect my bubble and wanted to share my experience due to seeing negative reviews about this company. I dropped my iPhone 6 down the toilet after leaving this in my back pocket and it did not take very long for it to stop working. I put it behind the radiator but this also did not work. The following Monday I called and explained what had happened and was given simple instructions on what to do which was done the same day through my mobile provider and my claim was accepted. I was instructed by email to post my mobile and would be refunded for the postage. This was done the following day, I contacted on the Friday for an update and was advised my iCloud was not switched off correctly given instructions on how to do this which was done that day. I called on the Monday and was advised it was in progress and the day after (Tuesday) I received a new iPhone. The service was faultless the staff were polite and very helpful and I would recommend these.

I seem to have had a completely different experience with Protect Your Bubble than everyone else on this forum.
I registered with PYB last November to insure my 64GB iPhone 6 and opted in for accidental damage. Last week I smashed my screen by accident and afterwards noticed that my frame had also been bent.
I claimed online and phoned the next day to get it through their systems a little bit faster which was no problem. They sent through the forms straight away via email and I posted my phone to them next day delivery (which they reimbursed me for). I didn't need to provide proof of purchase or any of that nonsense.
3 working days later I received my repaired handset back in great condition.
I have been thoroughly impressed with the service I received from Protect Your Bubble and would definitely recommend them based on that.0 -
DON"T USE THESE CLOWNS THEY ARE RIP OFF MERCHANTS
Took out this insurance for iPhone 5S and an iPhone 5C - they only recorded these as iPhone 5's despite confirmation to the contrary. Tried to claim only to find that, despite all other info corresponding claim wasn't valid. So I've wasted £100's on invalid insurance.
They are cheap for a reason - they are totally crap - don't use them.0 -
My phone had the screen cracked and back bent also from the fall damaged it.The excess i had to pay 50 pounds covered for replacing the damaged screen but not for the bent back. Which means i have to continue using the phone looking like it came out of war.The cost of replacing a screen in town is around 25 pounds in a phone shop.I advise everyone that wants to get this insurer to think twice because unless your phone is not working at all they will not repair any cosmetic damage like they say unless this makes the phone inoperable. So basically you can have any kind of damage if your phone is working not sure what they will replace or not. AVOID0
