in your first post you was asking about declaring sale of pups.if you are deciding to disclose this to them then you need not ask for advice, simples.

I was asking WHAT I needed to declare as sometimes there is a threshold. I was asking if it would be the full amount or a percentage. So I was asking for the FACTS.

It was not a matter of disclosure I wanted advice as to what the effects would be on my benefits as in would they stop, reduce and if reduce by how much etc.

The purpose of this forum is to ask for advice on benefits facts is it not?

Or should we say to all on here phone the DWP first??

You will find Gemma, that some people on this site cannot bring themselves to admit when they're in the wrong, preferring to keep repeating themselves as though repetition makes them somehow right. It's enough to bore a hole through an iron pot and I wouldn't give it any more valuable breathing time if I were you.

You've been crystal clear from the outset, good luck to you in whatever you decide to do.

Dear gemma1979, please do not breed your dog/s, there are so many dogs/cats needing homes, the animal sancturaries are all full as are the dogs homes. Do you actually want to make dogs who need homes, homeless? If you care you would not.

You need to declare it all both for benefits and to the Inland Revenue.

I know you were only asking regarding your benefits, but are you an experienced breeder? Pug are notoriously difficult whelpers and don't tend to make good mothers. C-sections are commonplace and where I live a c-section can set you back £1200. Breeding done properly is a very expensive exercise. I would ensure you have at least £3000 set aside before you consider this.

For a second there reading this thread I thought I'd stumbled accidently on the champdogs forums for the all the show dog snobbery here!

Back to the OP questions, yes it needs to be declared but won't be treated as anything other than capital if a one off litter. Most LA's and HA's do ban breeding in their properties though.

Hope all goes well Gemma if you do decide to proceed.

exactly, it's at least a FIVE GRAND A YEAR income at that. Some people are so stupid they can't work that out because of thierr sense of entitlement and woe is me I've got it harder that you attitude.

Prostituted? Please do at least attempt to keep a sense of proportion and lose the hysteria. I don't think this lady's pug is in any danger of being hawked around Soho having her 'good boy' chocolate drops tampered with. You'll be flinging accusations of !!!!!philia next given that the animal is only a couple of years old.

The irony of calling other people stupid!

Ha ha that's the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time, a ho dog! Some people will go to extreme lengths to make a poster look like a benefit scrounger but saying a dog is being prostituted is the best one yet
not all on benefits are scroungers and don't need to be bullied!

I won't go into the in's and out's of dog breeding in this thread because anyone who knows me on here will know my views, but OP you are talking about breeding your dog next year. Are you so convinced that you won't get a job before then? And if not, why not?
