Flippin typical, "oh yes, lets make sure all the I's are dotted and Ts are crossed incase of a claim, but lets be careful what we write, and not bother asking how the person is, or getting a first aider to check them out, 'cause if we do, we might see that there are injuries, so lets say 'no comment' and hope the customer hobbles home and forgets about it, and NEVER apologise, 'cause thats admitting it was tescos fault for leaving the plastic strips where someone could fall"

Am I the only one who thought that when Freddiesflyers said they'd tripped over ties in the clothes department, that they actually meant TIES, as in shirt and tie :o:o Thanks for clearing that up Lindos as I was wondering how they managed to do that :o:o:o

Im trying to skip back and forward, so this may have been answered. Im not very confident at this APG thing either! I did buy 6 at once and then regretted it as I get an APG for £16 (anything over £9.99 does not scan, so needs to be manually input, risking a supervisor coming over, if the assistant asks for help.

I am more comfortable staying safer, and if I did it again I would do two shops, three bottles in each, = 2 easier to use APGs. I sent my OH through with the £16 APG, and it was accepted without problem, but just wouldnt do it again!

If it helps, these are some of the items I used for the 8 items (maybe get 10 just incase a couple dont count ;))

    smart price stuffing mix
    smart price beetroot in vinegar
    one onion
    one banana
    one carrot
oreos pack (£1 on A, 49p in Ts)
smart price corned beef (£2 in A, £1.50 in Ts)
Five beanz :rotfl:(still used the voucher, and its still compared!)
milk (18p more in Ts, so only makes each bottle of wine 6p dearer)
bread (again, a loaf is a loaf + or - a few pence)
Dove twin pack of soap (£1 in both)
mini bag of tangfastics (10p in both stores)
    Cheap box of paracetamol

    HTH

Hi Lindos, few more that might help
Smart price curry noodles and chicken noodles 11p in both
Smart price golden rice 26p - same
Smart price curry pot noodle 23p - same
Giant white chocolate button 9p N/A
Smart price lasagne 39p - same
If it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:
  • Keep an eye out for cheap Lego & MegaBloks stuff in Ts. I got some sets that were approx 50% off RRP or cheaper:

    Lego Superheroes The Joker (4527) - £5
    Lego Ewok Attack (7956) - £12
    Lego Satellite Lauch Pad (3366) - £6.50
    Lego Prisoner Transport (7286) - £6.50
    Lego Creator Blue Roadster (6913) - £4.75
    Mega Bloks Town Vehicles (354, 356) - £2ea
    Mega Bloks Blok Town (361, 362) - £3.25ea
Mega Bloks 100pc Mini Bloks Tub - £2.50
Lego Mini Figures (the ones in red foil packets) - RTC 98p

I think that's all. I really should stop Xmas shopping now :o

I've not targeted an APG before - i've thought about it but never done it, now im worried about the 8 items - I know an onion etc... but i'd like to get things I would use anyway - like treats, choc, juice, pasta, bread yogurts? Any of these ok for a comparasion or is it hit and miss?

    Sorry if stupid question?

Edit - is it stupid to do 6 bottles? Im afraid today may be the last day so want to make the most of it ?

You can do as many bottles as you like of course, but to be sensible I've been doing 6 as it generates an APG of around £15 back which isn't tooooo large.

I generally do morethan 8 items....i usually do 10 so no nasty surprises. Value spaghetti...baked beans....custard....rice pudding. All bar a few odd items will count as items so no major issues there and they compare against other supermarkets own value ranges so no shocks on the price comparisons of those generally either.

I can't believe its still working either! :)

The man upstairs is making my life a misery tonight. He's stomping about like an elephant, slamming doors and playing his music loud. Why? He called me when I was in Glasgow yesterday (he knows I don't do phone calls but still insists on calling me every damn time, if I don't answer he just keeps ringing) wanting a favour. He wanted to give me £20 in cash and I would then set up internet banking to transfer £20 from my account to his. I told him I was at mums, I couldn't tell him I was in Glasgow as it would have been like the Spanish inquisition and I'd never have got him off the phone. I had to tell him I would be home later as he would have heard me about so he then asked if I could do it when I got in. I had to tell him I had less than £20 in my account after giving mum money for petrol to run me home. He's obviously not happy that I couldn't help and he's making his feelings known tonight. I did have more than £20 in my account but that's beside the point, I'd have to gone and stood in a queue in a bank for 20 minutes to put the money back in my account and I really couldn't be bothered with that carp today, let alone on the best of days.

I hope mum moves soon as it would give me an excuse to try and get out of here too.

    Rant over.
