    Just back from a womble.

I now have to wait until midnight for the results of a £150+ receipt with just £1 multibuy savings!!!! Fingers crossed

Hope you get some there! I found a womble from A's a couple of week back, was a £100 odd spend!! No voucher though, as Asda was like £12 cheaper than T S or M.

Things that we do that are questionable :

Actively search Tesco & Asda for discarded receipts and claim APGs/PPs.

Claim points on receipts that we find in Tesco.

Collect the £1 coins left in trolleys.

Pricecheck items that we think may give a DTD - and then buy several intending to claim DTD.

Use several different conditional spend coupons when we've only spent enough for the highest valued one.

Grab dozens of Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury magazines cos we want the money off coupons - and then use them knowing we will get a BM etc (lager/shandy anyone?)

Looking for the youngest, most gullible looking SA when we want to bend the coupon rules a bit.

Castigating SA's who won't let us get away with bending the coupon rules.

Picking up money in the car park and not handing it in.

Printing off more coupons when really the manufacturer intended only one.

Saving online coupons as PDF's and then printing and using dozens to get large quantities of free or very cheap goods.

Taking advantage of cases where we discover the tills are given double discounts (Lurpak?).

Buying masses of an item when we know that the computers are price matching wrongly and getting goods at what is clearly a wrong price (Don Simon?)

Buying items which we know we don't want in order to use a conditional spend coupon - and then taking it back for a refund.

As above to get a Sainsbury BM>

Using your works printer to print off coupons.

Using your works mailing system for your own private mail.

I'll stop there or I'll be at it all night.

Very few of us are quite as spotless as we make out.

I do quite a few of these things I must admit!!

Been a while since I posted on here, havent had much time recently! But on my trip to T's on Sunday all equipped with coupons etc etc.
Saved £33 on filling up the family car using 5 x 10p vouchers. Got double points on fuel too using coupon from clubcard voucher booklet.
Got some of the Pantene that was on £4.49 bogof, had 2 x £1 off coupons off ssm so paid £2.49 for 2 x500ml bottles of Pantene! Also got some Head and Shoulders that was on offer £3 down from £4.99 Used £1 coupon (ssm) so paid £2 for this.
Got some sunglasses too (what sun, you may ask... lol!) Price marked at £10, some had stickers (done by price gun) that said £3 on them, others had not. I took 2, both scanned in at £3 at till...winner!
Amongst other bargains I got were various bakery cake products like those ring doughnuts in a fancy box, 56p for pack of 4 down from £1.70. They were gone before we left the car park; one each for me mum dad and brother!

Not entirely sure if the shampoo offers are still on like, maybe worth a try checking tomorrow?

Lastly...has anyone's local M's got a special printer by the tills (just like Sainsburys) that gives out till spits?? I noticed my local M's has this when I returned from hols. Got a £1 off £20 spend and a £1.75 off £30 spend when I went yesterday...cool! Got some rotisserie whole roast chickens from the hot counter at £2.50 down from £4.40 just before closing time. Once I got one for 99p!-defo not complaining with £2.50 though!

I've not targeted an APG before - i've thought about it but never done it, now im worried about the 8 items - I know an onion etc... but i'd like to get things I would use anyway - like treats, choc, juice, pasta, bread yogurts? Any of these ok for a comparasion or is it hit and miss?

    Sorry if stupid question?

Edit - is it stupid to do 6 bottles? Im afraid today may be the last day so want to make the most of it ?

Im trying to skip back and forward, so this may have been answered. Im not very confident at this APG thing either! I did buy 6 at once and then regretted it as I get an APG for £16 (anything over £9.99 does not scan, so needs to be manually input, risking a supervisor coming over, if the assistant asks for help.

I am more comfortable staying safer, and if I did it again I would do two shops, three bottles in each, = 2 easier to use APGs. I sent my OH through with the £16 APG, and it was accepted without problem, but just wouldnt do it again!

If it helps, these are some of the items I used for the 8 items (maybe get 10 just incase a couple dont count ;))

    smart price stuffing mix
    smart price beetroot in vinegar
    one onion
    one banana
    one carrot
oreos pack (£1 on A, 49p in Ts)
smart price corned beef (£2 in A, £1.50 in Ts)
Five beanz :rotfl:(still used the voucher, and its still compared!)
milk (18p more in Ts, so only makes each bottle of wine 6p dearer)
bread (again, a loaf is a loaf + or - a few pence)
Dove twin pack of soap (£1 in both)
mini bag of tangfastics (10p in both stores)
    Cheap box of paracetamol

Got the Rose wine today :j first time doing it because I don't drink and OH doesn't like wine but I figured 3 nice Xmas pressies for about £3 worth of wombles!

That's a very good tip, I might borrow that one, thanks.

I email myself copies of music I'm working on as a safeguard but never thought of that one. :D
    Hope is not a strategy.

    Evening guy :j :j

I had a lovely lie-in this morning after my garden guy rang to say he'd be with me tomorroww instead, to finish off the gravel, etc. When I eventually got up :o I called down to the cafe for my brekkie/lunch, then took some furniture to the tip and took that flat-pack furniture back to store for refund. Then I looked in 2 stores at wood-effect vinyl cushionfloor and laminates, but found it hard to make a decision on my own :(

Popped to Asda for a few bits then home, and been on the phone to friend for an hour and then half an hour, discussing the pros and cons of laminate against cushionfloor, coming down in favour of cushionfloor, and also searching online together for furniture for sitting room, but not found what I want yet :( Going to have a proper look in that independant furniture place locally tomorrow, failing that it's a trip to Kings Lynn and/or P'boro

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Good luck on the horse tomorrow

Have a look at Amtico flooring. it is pricey but very hardwearing, I have it in my kitchen where it has been for 25 yeaes and in my shower and bathroom
