  • Out of all the places I've been I've never once took any insurance details with me, I've never bothered to find out the contact details for the British Embassies, I've never had a copy of the photograph page of my passport, I've never had any emergency contact details with me, other than the ones in the back page of my passport.

Tonight I've just made 4 copies (each one to be placed about my person and my belongings) of my passport and on the back of each of them I've wrote the telephone number and policy number of my travel insurance, the telephone number and address of the embassies and 2 lots of emergency contact details. I can't help but feel that I'm tempting fate.:(

my friend always emails himself a scanned copy of paperwork. that way if everything is lost, any internet point can get personal information for you.
  • Hi Everyone, newbie here who has been enjoying the chat and after finally been taunted with A's wine deal, I dragged the OH up on the bicycle with me to get 6 bottles.. He's not complaining now *hic* and was awesome to see the APG approved! My first APG glitch! ^_^ I've mostly been a OOD discount freak but I've really wanted to master coupons etc as I hate spending where I don't have too!

Anyway, finally had the courage to join in and wanted to say thanks for the wine tip!

No offence meant to anyone who reads it, just not my cup of tea, I got bored reading the sample!

Maybe you need your OH to tie you up, gag you and wedge your eye lids open with it propped up on an easel to help create the right 'atmosphere' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Aw has no one seen the tv show Gary Tank Commander? Or is it just in Scotland? Maybe you should youtube it - though not sure you'd understand him :) Everyone in my house loves it - just assumed everyone else would know the name.

PS how do I take part in the daily quiz? I tried earlier through the link but it says I need an ID from admin? Can anyone help?

  • Lots of Sellotape branded items reduced to clear in my Extra today. Most seemed to have about 75% off.

    Welcome :)

To take part in the daily quiz I think you need to pm snap-ant for the password.

I have long suspected this but now I've proved it to myself and had to share :j:j

I did a test shop with 7 different items and asked the SA to add 1 bag re-use. I plugged the details into the price checker and I just got my results back (below). The bag re-use has definitely counted as one of my 8 items. Thats one less carrot that I need to buy each shop now :rotfl:

Note also for anyone who has ever wondered. The following items also formed part of this 7 item shop

    flowers
    sandwiches
    whoopsies

None of these would have counted towards your 8 items in As

    pptest.jpg

so next time you are doing a shop in Ts and plan on putting it into the price promise site you really do just need 8 DIFFERENT items as the website says. Its not 8 qualifying items like Mr A

If you want an extra free item added to your tally then ask for bag re-use points. If you dont want to use your clubcard just ask for the bag re-use to be added and say its because you will go to CS the next time to get your points added. I have seen wombles that have have no CC but still show bag re-use.

    Hope this helps someone

PS not a bad whoopsie shop, eh? :D

It's not bad.....for us to be impressed you'd need to show a price capped PP from the shop too. ;)
