Hi - still a newbie here but have been lurking for a while. Just wanted to say what a great thread this is. Full of helpful money saving tips thanks! Still haven't found any cheap loo rolls yet though as they've all been £3 :(

My evening is fast disappearing.

Jam making will have to wait til tomorrow now as the baby jars are in the shed and I don't like the idea of walking into a descending spider

Blackberries and crab apples are on bobbing away in salted water so can stay put til daylight arrives.

Has anyone seen posts from fourp recently? Haven't spotted any for a while or maybe it's cos I'm so good at skipping?
Fourp was on a few days ago but only briefly. If i remember rightly, Snap Ant said he'd met up with a friend who was visiting the UK, hence his absence.
    Thanks Tigerwhite :). Good advice.

I quit when I was preggers with my DD, but as soon as she was born I was lighting up again. I'm an idiot. I was extra hormonal an irritable because I was so desperate for a cig for 9 months! :o:rotfl:

You're welcome.. it's all about changing habits as it's the habit of lighting up/boredom/familiarity that keeps you going back. Good luck :)

    I know!!!!!!!

27p a roll is pretty reasonable which is why i posted it but who in their right mind would spend 58p a roll! It's shocking how people fall into the trap of thinking its half price so it must be a bargain.

Much better to look at it as a unit cost. It's stripped of all bells n whistles then.

    :)

    Edit:
In Asda 24 x shades loo roll is £7.99 but isn't triple ply.
Not sure folk would buy the 24pack if they've stocked up on t'others:D

I don't buy loo roll unless it's under 30p a roll - that's my threshold. BTW, I've not found any £1.50 shades today

Well I must say that I'm not impressed with Barbour's Customer Service. I've had my wax jacket 8 months and it started letting in water.

I emailed CS and 5 days later they got back to me advising that I take it back for a refund or send it to them for testing, and if I wanted, they would send out a pre paid bag to send it in. I replied asking for a bag and also told them about other faults with the jacket like threads coming away on seams so they were only held together with glue. I never got a response from them but I did get the bag to send it away in.

I emailed them a couple of days later to let them know that I would be away and would be unreachable between certain dates and if they could get back to me before a certain date just to keep me up to date it would be most appreciated - No reply.

I emailed them 2 days ago (over a week after the last email) to let them know that my departure date was fast approaching and that if they couldn't get hold of me could they take it up with my mum and gave them her contact details - As yet, no reply. :(

I've been reading online that if you buy a Barbour you have to make sure you get one that's "Made in England" and not one of their foreign made ones if you want to be absolutely sure of a good quality jacket. I'm beginning to wonder where mine was made.:(

I don't like any of their other jackets so if they've stopped doing the one I have, I won't be happy.:(

Well I eventually found the food bank and was met by a jovial old black fellah who reminded me of Morgan Freeman...........I was just told God would bless me and I left with a warm fuzzy feeling.

Well I take stuff to the charity shops of course but never really done this before.....might do it some more, specually when theres coupons to get stuff for free! :)

I know what you mean, I always think there for the grace of god go I.

I just like to know that I am helping someone who really needs it and if I can spread some of the glitches to give them lots then as well as the glitch buzz i get another buzz from sharing it.
If it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:
