Got one over on those pesky frogs today. Went to buy sandwiches at the supermarket for our daily trip to Disneyland and still no ice. There was a nearly empty fridge near the chilled sandwiches so I popped a case of beer in there right at the back at 09:00 and returned at 20:00, hopefully to collect it ICE COLD! Happy days, currently enjoying the fruits of my labours!!:j:j

A friend did that with her milk shopping in the fridge at Nero coffee. An hour later she went to retrieve it and found the staff had used it up.

Thanks to OP on dark side:

Like that was ever £14 in the first place!!!!!!

I saw 24 packs of charmin in asda today but can't remember how much it was. Certainly wasn't £14 :rotfl:

Sorry if you're being serious JJ, I just saw the half price bit and nearly spat water all over my phone

I'm in an ethical pickle here and would like others opinions please.

I have wombled a receipt from As that has 2 John Frieda shampoos on it at £5 each but they are on a 3 for £10 promotion!!! They effectively missed out on a "buy 2 get 1 free" deal by not picking up a 3rd free bottle!! Silly unsavvy shopper!

Do you think I could go in, show them the receipt, say I didn't realise until I got home that I didn't pick up enough bottles for the promotion and see if they'll let me have a 3rd one free?

    LMAO!!!

I think it'd be cheeky, but why not?

Most of us here only object when people actions are likely to impact on everyone else so to speak and this clearly isn't. I'd love to know if you go for it or not and what their response is! :D

What about antihistamines, imodium, a photocopy of your passport, driving licence, insurance documents etc; toothbrush, andrex on the go, and last but by no means least ME:T:T:T

Oh yeah, I've got some anti carp tablets somewhere.

I won't be driving. To hire a car ourselves we would have had to cough up a €1,000 CASH deposit, so many things are excluded from the insurance and we wouldn't be allowed on most of the roads. The money we would have lost converting £'s to €'s and back again for the deposit we decided just to cough up €5 (£4) a day for a driver. However, I popped out earlier and got an International Driving Permit in the hope the driver will let me drive a bit so I can say I've driven there.

Ask Westie if she's got enough room in her shipping container (aka backpack) for you.
  • Well I eventually found the food bank and was met by a jovial old black fellah who reminded me of Morgan Freeman...........I was just told God would bless me and I left with a warm fuzzy feeling.

Well I take stuff to the charity shops of course but never really done this before.....might do it some more, specually when theres coupons to get stuff for free! :)

DH is very fussy about his curry - likes it megahot and not tasting like a ready meal but he loved the Sainsburys Phal from the chiller section. HTH :)

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind for next time.

No cheap ketchup at my local.

The l'oreal elvive large bottles are on offer 2 for £5 so with 2 x £1.50 l'oreal vouchers they are £1 each which I thought wasn't bad.

i found several varieties of l'oreal bottles at savers for £1.29 ;)

My evening is fast disappearing.

Jam making will have to wait til tomorrow now as the baby jars are in the shed and I don't like the idea of walking into a descending spider

Blackberries and crab apples are on bobbing away in salted water so can stay put til daylight arrives.

Has anyone seen posts from fourp recently? Haven't spotted any for a while or maybe it's cos I'm so good at skipping?
