Thats ok, my DD crashed her instructors car. She was mortified. It was the instructors fault as he took her on an icy road.

On one of my many lessons I was driving along a side road with parking on the side, car in front of me pulled into a parking space so I filled the space. The car then drives straight back out and into the passenger side door of the car I was driving! My instructor's language was an education in itself!!:rotfl::rotfl:

  • Soooo tired, I'm cranky as hell. Think I'm gonna go fishing.....if anyone hears a big spash, I've nodded orf and fell in!!
  • Morning everyone. Another cold drizzly one here today
Sat patiently waiting for UPS with my BS goodies :)
Hope everyone is well and happy :)
Off to try and catch up.
  • Keep posting this morning - my post count is sadly lacking on this thread! I was pretty low down on the other thread too!
Mine is far too low as well but I haven't got time to chat usually but will try to 'spread the love' if I can. Tried to 'spread the love' in Ikea the other day by lending an old chap my Family card so his three drinks were free - my lovely youngest daughter ran off because she was so embarrassed! I think she thinks I'm a total peasant!:rotfl:

Sorry to hear you are feeling down. Matbe go to a place your grandad liked to go and enjoy the memory and imagine him watching you do it. Might help lift your spirits a bit. Used to help me anyway. (((hugs)))

Thanks FK, I am doing just that very thing tonight :-) :) I might have to purchase some more Davna Czeri - Polish cherry vodka too! I had the last bit last night out of the bottle my brother and I bought my Grandad for his 90th. He loved that stuff, so that's my excuse! :D

And good to see you back here, I hope you will be sticking around and not disappearing again! Not sure if you saw my post the other day, but my freezer is full to bursting with whoopsies ;) Thank you!

Oh also, general question... you know you can get clocks which are basically flattened glass bottles? Well does anyone know of anywhere that does this and you can choose whatever bottle you like?

At least it would wake you up!

Have a friend that has the river Loddon go through his back garden, has a few trout in it. He feeds the trout with bread, when he wants one for the BBQ he chooses carefully and arranges for that trout's bit of bread to contain the hook! Very effective, but doesn't answer why there was no trout at his garden party yesterday!

So few of the usual regulars on there.
Don't worry FK! This thread is not even on post 2000 yet - plenty of time for you to top the charts ;)

On another topic, the postman has just brought my happy socks (from their sale WAY back when) and I got a pair of their 'over the knee' socks- they look absurd, but are very comfy. Couldn't believe delivery took nearly 3 weeks!
  • I seriously have to go now. Have a free day so a lot to fit in. Strange how I prefer the idea of sitting here in the cushion of this thread! You all have been my saviour while I have been pinned to my OH's side and unable to spread my wings, it's great to have friends to chat to even when you can't chat to your friends as you would normally do IYSWIM. Thanks guys!
