    As an aside, if you buy a newspaper to get the Price Flop leaflet, make sure it is actually inside, as a savvy shopper may have been there first ;)

  • Hi everyone, i dont post on here much but i try and pop on when i can. I just wanted to say i made a few bodyshop order on Saturday and i have just received emails saying they have been dispatched (most of them anyway, the ones with the small strawberry gift boxes in are still awaiting dispatch though....not sure what that means) I logged on to see that all the items were there and they are so thats good news. Thanks to OP for this, its really going to help with christmas this year! :)

    Try this quiz - no cheating :)

    It should be quite easy for 11+ers, but I found it difficult because we never pay "regular" prices for stuff, or don't buy the branded items, so I actually don't know how much a lot of things actually cost :o

    I got 8 out of 15 :T Good God though, do people really pay these prices for things?

    If I didn't do what I do I honestly could not afford to eat anything at all and my cupboards and fridge would be empty.:(

    £4.99 for 30 fish fingers?:eek::eek::eek:

    I don't know about you guys but I get a large amount of my shopping free with wombled APG's :j and pay very little for food,household stuff and cat food, by very little I mean pennies. I almost feel that if it's not free then I won't buy it at all!

    Me and OH had a "discussion" in Mr T yesterday when he wanted to spend a pizza voucher on a pizza that was £1.49 and not £1 :eek: and that 50p for a decent pizza was a bargain - to most people it would be but to me it was 50p wasted when you can get one for free!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Some of my wombled APG went on Aero mousse 4 packs at 50p which I thought was a very good price...all the flavours are 50p.:T

    celebrate, stop beating yourself up, hun, and if your family are making you unhappy, as long as you're ok with how you're doing, just stop listening to them. Imagine just sticking your fingers in your ears and going "la la la" when they start, and if that doesn't block it out, then do it, literally. You're a grown woman with a responsible job, so tell them to butt out. :T

    Lecture over. :)

    And yes, just accept the paypal payment and move on, life's too short to stress the small stuff. :A

    I totally agree with both celebrate, family's can be a nightmare, I know through experience. :mad: but I would take lutzi1 advice. Thanks lutzi1 :)

    Re; PayPal. I would accept the payment like I said before, as long as you have sum kind of communication with the buyer via email/inbox that they are collecting the item. Do make a print out stating what they have collected and when, get them to sign it. There's far more honest people in the world than conmen. And waaaay more important things to stress over. I know it's not really what you want to hear, but it really will work itself out. :)

    Our old freezer I was never sure if it was running at the correct temp so when we replaced both the fridge and freezer last year I got ones with a temp display on the front, the fridge is set at 3 and the freezer at minus 19 and the blue LEd display is very reassuring
    What a nightmare. Hope you have managed to use alot of it or give to others to use. We have a large American freezer in garage and my OH unplugged it to use the socket and stupidly forgot to plug it back in. What a mess :mad: my freezers are normally full jam packed. This was recently after all the DTD last year. Even with a large grown up family there's still a limit to what they can eat in a day or so. Pizza night for all there mates with wedges and garlic bread. All the ice cream had to be binned, including all the magnums :mad: Gave loads to family and friends. I hate having to throw food out too, but what can you do?!
