The results were definitely disappointing but they were similar to results if you're just doing it the 'normal' way which I found interesting. But I guess you hope that if theyve already done the best sperm collecting, and fertilised the embryo then it should be higher as half the part is already done, it just needs to attach!!
That dr I found quite reassuring I think, plus I feel less scared of ivf if I ever sadly had to go down that route. It just seemed so routine and the staff so skilled. And when that couple got their bfp it was amazing. But yes so sad for the others.
One thing he really did make me laugh about - was when he was describing the best way to bd, around your mother in laws house :rotfl:
Yes the doc seemed really genuine, I also chuckled at his description of the best way of doing it, and have visions of puzzled men all around the country wondering why their OHS are suddenly so keen on quickies!
Sperminator big LOL!0 -
that doctor is a proper dude! loved his first comment 'the question all women want to ask me but daren't...why does it all dribble out?' and it's true! how much time do we spend on here worrying about that but even i wouldn't want to ask a doctor!
loved his description of ladies bodies being like mercedes...something all of us who have gone an a healthy kick need to keep in mind...
speaking of which, weigh in day is tomorrow but had a cheeky look this morning and i've lost 2.9lbs! soooo pleased with my little self
glad he said quickies are the way forward, never anything but in my house!
tinks love that picture! your DD is gorgeous, no wonder you want another!
was so tired this morning that i'm not sure what my temp actually was, it's either really dropped to 96.86 or gone above my coverline to 97.86 lol will have to see what tomorrow says, can't tell from cm due to ahem, left overs...Little Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Well done on the weightloss TL! :T
I'm glad about the quickie advice too since a lot of our copulation is done in a hurry whilst I'm on my lunch break!
Lovely pic Tink, you're so lucky to have a 2 gorgeous DDsOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Did you definitely only ovulate 8 days ago?
As normally even if you ovulate at different times each month your luteal phase should stay pretty much the same.
Must have been early this month. I wasn't temping just roughly going by CM which is usually quite reliable in my case. Maybe not this time. Oh well, at least it's a short month and we can try soon again
Would love to start temping, but our bedroom is so dark I couldn't see the thermometer (BF sleeps longer, so light on is off) would have to get up first which you're not meant to do?? Plus I usually forget as I have to get DS instantly...DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
I saw the babymakers programme too. It was good but think watching it the day before our ICSI appt was a bad move - ended up having a complete shouty breakdown and being v mean to OH (although I have to say I think he deserved some of it!)
ETA: our bedroom is v dark too so I put my phone on quickly just to look at the thermometer once it's beeped. Only takes a second and hasn't woken OH up so far.0 -
thrifty i also either use my phone or i have a little red lamp by my bed that doesn't wake DH up if he's sleeping in. generally he's not supposed to be anyway as we commute together! x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

I better try that. I think it might be another few months till my cycle settles which didn't happen the last time but I guess the body changes, and I'm hoping to go back to my OV on CD13 with a 28 day cycle. I'll start temping tomorrow. I wish I was allowed up though cause that wouyld make it a whole lot more practical...I think to remember last time (3 years ago), I did. But always the same each morning. Wake up, 10 steps to the loo, take temp and it seem to work. Maybe try that approach again. If that doesn't work (I know it's not perfect I'll try the low light, dampen beeping sound in bedroom approach, if BF would know I temp he'd think that's taking it too serious at that early stage, don't think he'll get it).DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
