Hi everyone

Can I join you please?

We started to TTC only a few weeks ago and I feel I'm already boring my dh to tears . We have decided to keep it to ourselves so we don't get people's hopes up.

I'm sure I'm not the only one ,but even though it's only been a few weeks I am already finding myself trying to spot signs of been pregnant. :eek: Got to chill out!!!

So I really need to talk to other people who are going through similar things to keep my mind occupied.

What is the best or most reliable ovulation calculator? Lots of different sites and apps give u different dates and I've just worked out that since aug I have been Bding on the wrong days!

Based this on the bbc calculator and p tracker app which said the same thing. I had been using only the my days app and due to this being wrong and the irregular periods of late don't want to mess it up this month.

Welcome hopes I have been a long time lurker and joined v recently. Know what u mean, its so hard to relax about it. I had been fine until last month when my period was v late and I had had symptoms of pregnancy. Now it's all I think about and it's hard to keep it all to yrself and the OH.

All ovulation calculators use averages and if you only have 2 or 3 months data then it is even more likely to be wrong. I chart on fertility friend but don't use it for predicting ovulation because 9/10 it would be wrong!

The most/only reliable way to pinpoint ovulation is to use OPK's (ovulation predictor kits) and check your cervical mucus. This is especially important as your periods are irregular.


Hopes - Welcome. The TTC talk bores most men so don't worry there. Symptom spotting (or ss) is barred from this thread and someone will wave a finger at you if you start talking about sore breasts and nausea! Try to remember that early pregnancy symptoms (if you get any at all) are almost identical to AF symptoms so usually mean very little.

Hi all newcomers

I think I ovulated yesterday (CD27 eek!) as I had much fainter lines on 2 OPKs and temperature dropped yesterday and shot up this morning (reliable data). Could I please be updated to CD28- 1DPO today. Thanks Becca x

Annoyed as it is later this month (CD 26 and CD 25 last two months) and af is due on Monday. Even though we DTD at the right times (using conceive plus), I think we are out again this month

Your LP will change in relation to ov day. So AF will be due 7 days after ov if you do actually have a 7 day LP.
I understand your feeling of hopelessness when there isn't anything you can do to help.

There are lots of stories on the internet of women conceiving with short LP's though so don't loose hope

Thanks Lily, that means a lot. Yesterday was really hard but feeling a bit better today. Amazon did well out of me yesterday lol.
