Trying for a Baby Part 8

lilmissmup - I first started getting AF when I was 10, and I'd miss a week of school every month due to it. By the time I was 13, I was having AF every two weeks! Was put on birth control to even it out for 2 years. Still had fairly painful AF's after that, but nothing that couldn't be controlled with pain medicines (very strong ones, I luckily had a very understanding paediatrician). About 3 years ago (not long after kicking out my ex, so lessening my stress level), AF started becoming more regular and less painful. Now (I'm 27 now) I'll have medium cramps and pain on day 1, but nothing after that unless I'm an idiot and pick something up too heavy. I'm not supposed to pick anything heavier than 10 pounds up with my right arm until it's completely healed anyway, but, well, housework just has to get done sometimes.
I'm feeling a bit better now. I think sitting down and resting has helped. So has actually eating something. Ended up getting involved in the housework right after DH left and I forgot to eat breakfast until about half an hour ago. Oops.
The good news is that the whole house has been vacuumed, the laundry is clean (albeit still wet) and most of the dishes have been washed up. Just a bit of tidying and scrubbing down the bathroom and I'm finished with housework for this week.
Got my Christmas gift from my mom late last night, which, even though she's asked me not to talk about it, has really lessened the stress on myself and DH and has helped our finances.
I did however find out that my grandmother is in hospital due to a fall, and that she was delusional due to a bladder infection.
MV - you're in my thoughts and prayers right now that everything goes the way it is supposed to, that this one sticks and everything works out perfectly for you. From what I've learned about you, you definitely deserve it!0 -
AF is deffo a-coming. Spotting at the mo. Won't call CD1 just yet, will wait until she's in free flow. If it happens today then that puts me on a 26 day cycle, if it happens tomorrow then 27 days. Right, I'm off to get my TTC order in from Amazon - really hope it gets here before Xmas as ov will be between Xmas and New Year.
MV - Pleased you got an appt for Friday. Just make sure you get as much R&R as poss - well as much as you can with a toddler
Mrs TM - Good luck with your testing. How many DPO are you now?0 -
Thanks Abis and Mrs T M.
I feel a lot better now which is annoying really as its cost me £60ish quid but this morning I was cramping up so much driving or sitting at my desk being nice to customers would not have been fun.
I did sleep all morning too with my hot water bottle which helped.
I am bored now though!Should go do my studying.....
Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Thanks everyone for you kind well wishes, I really am hoping for a miracle with this one
Miffy - I suppose at least one positive of not being preggers over Xmas is you can eat and drink what you like. I'm trying to hold onto that at least.
Mrs TM - maybe you should take a test? you never know!
Well no more 'interest' going on southside so far, which is obviously good (was dreading getting a big bleed at work). Had a few Crampy AF-type feelings earlier, but those seem to have passed off now. Not really feeling anything (but stressed!), so don't know if that is also a bad sign..grrrrr this whole thing is a pain in the proverbial.
OH has been to Boots in his lunch hour and bought me another Boots own brand test, and a FRER which I will probably do this evening. I figure if it's all over, the FR may show BFN (as happened to me in October).
Today is dragggging on at work, my mind is completely elsewhere. Only 2 more work days for me though till Xmas (thank the lord)Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
MiffyMoo - I'm either 7DPO or 9DPO today, not quite sure. Just tested, and BFN. I'm using the poundland strips (the only ones I have at the moment), which have a sensitivity level of 20 mIU (as labelled on the package, but I've also heard they are one of the 25mIU tests...). I'm thinking of ordering some of the 10mIU tests though.
My boobs are still painful and hot to the touch today. Forgot to mention that earlier. I am still spotting though.I have an average cycle of 28 days, shortest = 26 days, longest = 29 days. If AF is coming on, she's a full week early.

lilmissmup - I hate to say it, but alcohol helps me get through the really bad AF days. Just don't mix pain killers with it.
Also forgot to ask, without breaking the bank, what strength/type of test should I buy? I honestly still have no clue!0 -
Oh yes alochol helps!
I have a bottle of Isralie Merlot (???) on my desk which was sent in a hamper to me from my Isralie account. It's 15% volume!
May crack that open over Xmas if AF comes to town :cool:Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

this early? First response. The only test that has never lied to me.
eta at 9dpo it probably will be negative .Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
MV - I typically go for scotch when I have AF. 40-43% alcohol by volume. Plus I love the stuff. Jeez, I sound like an alcoholic! We currently have 8 bottles of single malt sitting in our front room. Plus a bottle of vodka, a bottle of blended scotch (was a Christmas gift last year) and a teeny tiny bottle of kahlua - which is for making a cheesecake!0
