  • Thank you abis, I managed to get through to the GP and have an appointment this Friday morning. Unfortunately it's the Dr who told me on the phone the last time that it was 'probably my age', but to be honest I think face to face he may be better (my OH has seen him several times and says he's good).

Also just getting an appointment before Xmas is challenging so just grabbed it.

It's all so worrying, I can't relax. I wish once you were pregnant that was it, no fear of mc.

I'm bored of it all now tbh.

You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
  • I'm going to take another test in the morning too.

  • Glad you've managed to get an appointment mv, and if the GP isn't being helpful, insist you see someone else....
Put your feet up and let oh look after you :-) xx
  • Sorry, I've been out of this game for a while so I have a quick question. What is your CM supposed to be like after OV? I thought it's meant to dry up and then come again just before AF which is still a week away. I'm about 8 or 9 dpo and got loads of creamy white sorry if TMI

    Thanks

    Hi Ladies,

Does anyone else have heavy AF hat make them miss work?

I used to have to miss school when I was a kid as had heavy periods and been off pill 18 months now and ended up missing a few days off work this year (including today!) due to the pains as they have been really heavy some months since coming off contraception (was on depo for 5 years before pill so no periods then wooohoo). :o

Costs me a days wage everytime too! And a day of being ignored afterwards by my moody !!!! boss as well!

On the plus side gives me some extra time to study for my works first aid course test which is on Wednesday and to prehaps do some study for my own evening class although TBH i bet I spend most of today perusing the internet!

Really hoping that after I have had a baby I can try to follow my dreams of working with animals not cars which I currently do and a lot of the time hate!

    Hey Ladies

Oh MV, so sorry to hear that. I hope that things go smoothly from now on. Can't believe your DR. he sounds so insensitive! Hope huge hugs from family helped. :grouphug:

CD 23 for me, which is exciting as I only made it to CD 20 last cycle. Trying not to get too hopeful though. I've had AF cramps on and off so I think she is coming.

Wrapped lots of presents last night - starting to feel a bit Christmassy :j

Finished off work for a big deadline this morning too, which always helps. Supposed to be working on the next dl for Weds but skiving on MSE :D

Having a few slight cramps and some light spotting. Think I've over done it on housework today (especially picking things up that are too heavy for me). Husband has said to test even though im not that far beyond ov. I'll do it so he can see, but it'll just be wasting a test this early.

MV - Totally know what you mean about being bored of it all now. Wish I could go back to it all being exciting and wonderful, but once bitten twice shy n all that. :( Friday is a long time to wait tho :( Our docs only book same day appts, you ring up at 8am and its engaged so you have to ring n ring n ring, and by 8.30 all appts are usually gone. It is really good to get same day appts tho, so musn't grumble. I don't think I would want to go see that same doctor tho - how many docs are there at the practice?

Thrifty - I think it can go creamy again after ov? Don't think there is anything unusual about that. I pay very little attention after ov is confirmed tho, so not really all that sure :o

Kellykins - I would start using ov sticks from around CD14. I just use the internet cheap ones, and I do them once a day around about 3pm. I'm not a huge drinker, so my urine is usually quite concentrated and I can pick up the surge quite easily. The only time I can't is when I stop testing. I can get 'almost' positives from CD14, but it can take me up to CD30 to ov. (I still have very irregular cycles) When you see a positive, you won't mistake it. I thought I had positives last cycle and stopped testing, but when I saw my positive this cycle, I thought to myself, well you silly fool it wasn't even positive last month when you thought it was!! I keep forgetting to temp too, but I'm on the 2ww now, so not so essential. Its hard to get in to the habit, but once you are in the habit its dead easy iyswim....

Lilmissmup - My periods were ridiculously light prior to coming off the pill, and still aren't anything stunning or painful apart from after my miscarriage. My aunt missed work every month tho cos of AF. Happy studying

Lara - Ooooo I might wrap some prezzies later. Just been buying last minute bits n bobs online today, and still have a shopping trip or 2 before the big day I think. My DD is 6, and most of her prezzies are 'from santa' which is a pain, cos I don't really have all that much to wrap up for her....

MrsTM - I got a TLP at 11DPO, so you might not be that far out if you test with FMU. But, if it is a -ve at that stage, its not a definative -ve if you see what I mean. Fingers crossed for you.
