  • Pomme - welcome back. Sounds like you had a great time.

QQ - Only taking one 500g tablet a day at the moment and will up it to two next week after all hospital/docs appointments are out the way. The met is making me a bit queasy and and running to the toilet more than usual. Also had a couple of hot flushes...hope that is the met and not the menopause.....;)

    - sorry it wasn't your month (hugs)

T2D - Glad things are going well between you and OH. :)

Hi everyone, thanks for the good wishes and sorry for being such a downer yesterday - today's actually been lovely so feeling much more positive. Hugs to anyone who needs them and all on CD1. Really can't work out what's going on with my cycle, if this continues then I may have to make an appointment with my GP.

    Hi all,

Just very quickly read Atton's post about taking aspirin on a daily basis and had to post. Can I stress how much of a bad idea it is to self medicate in these sorts of circumstances. Unless you have been diagnosed with Hughes syndrome you should avoid taking aspirin as it can lead to serious problems when taking for a prolonged period of time! If there is nothing wrong with you, taking aspirin won't help in anyway and may do serious harm. Rant over.

Hope everyone is doing okay. Big hugs to the ladies to Leopard and Tooth for the BFN's/AF. Hopefully it'll be a nice Xmas BFP for you both :)

QQ - I would like to guess at 9 this month please. We have had so many new people join I am feeling quite optimistic.

No other news from me. I have had more really REALLY dark OPK's today - the darkest I have ever had - so am going to assume I will be 0dpo tomorrow.

Atton - I agree with what TeamLowe said about not taking your friends decision not to come to your wedding too personally. Everybody copes with loss differently. Good luck getting your OH to go for an SA.

Hope everyone having fireworks tonight has fun (and stays safe!)

  • Evening all.

Just got back from a belated Halloween party with my NCT group. 7 toddlers and 2 newborn babies, much fun and chaos!

I have been reading but haven't been posting much as I felt truely despondant after the last couple of months failures. I can't remember feeling so bleak, and I have had my moments.

I have been trying to take a bit of a step back this month, and I honestly don't know when I ov'd, or even if I did at all. Did a couple of digi opk's I had left over round my usual ov times (I am pretty regular) and both were negative, so I don't know what is happening.

We managed to BD over the course of my usual ov week, but I am really not expecting anything from this month. It seems that even when I get BFP's they don't last more than a couple of days, so even that is depressing. No testing early for me this month, in fact I am going to wait until I'm at least 3 or 4 days late as I just can't bear another let down :( . If I am going to have another chemical I'd rather not know about it.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. I haven't had a chance to read back but will do so now.

    Hi MV,

I've noticed you lurking but not posting. Sorry that you are having a hard time - I can't imagine how hard it is to have your hopes raised so much and then being let down.

LL and Tooth, sorry for the BFN's.

And hugs amyloofoo for a tough day, glad you are feeling better.

Lilymay, I didn't think there was much wrong with lowdose aspirin. It's advised for lots of things, including before long distance travel, so I'm not sure there is much wrong with it. But... I am not a doctor!

MV, I also think I seem to have not ov'd this month. I'm due around today, so maybe I'll do one of my few remaining digital ov tests to see if anything is happening. I don't feel like I have - not nearly grumpy enough! But I have been taking EPO this month which tends to moderate my hormones a little more.

Firefly, all's well with DH, it's just that we (well, I) have been so focussed on TTC we have kind of been drifting the last few months. Plus he has been having work troubles so we've both been out of sorts for one reason for another. But have had a really nice weekend.

Anyway! Monday tomorrow, but that means my Christmas holidays are getting closer! :)

Evening all, hugs to all those who need, specially MV. It's nice to see you posting again, we've missed you!
Amy - glad everything went better today, men are so stupid sometimes, if it makes you feel better my DH missed my birthday by a week, he's since made up for it with his wallet! My first birthday of our marriage, for his I arranged him a session of reflexology and a night away with dinner and wine.
Well af should be due about this time next week in theory so I might test then if no show, if I get caught by the witch this month, I'm due to ov on the 2nd day of my holiday....woo :-)

  • Thanks T2D. I am sorry for all of us who are having a bad time. TTC is all-consuming isn't it. I have found myself drifting a bit from my OH too. It's not a great state of affairs.

Btw I have been taking a low dose aspirin each day this month too. I know I probably should have gone to my GP first, but to be honest his lack of any sort of empathy over my 2 chemicals put me right off. I don't have any kind of stomach problems, and it is very low dose. I think I just felt like I wanted to do something, anything.
Maybe not that smart and I'll probably not take it anymore after this month.

Not sure QQ, there was definitely a very faint line there but not sure if it was an evap or not. I read it about 20 mins after taking it.

Not over until AF is here but feeling a bit crampy so she may well be on the way :(

Huge hugs for those having a bad weekend. Have some of my Mars ice cream that I've just made, I'll leave it in the AF room, it'll soon be time for us to break out the glittery reindeer again.

Still on a high on my cbfm, so Ov must been soon. Hope it hurries up, I've got a tough week ahead of me. I've got my first CBT session on thursday, and am really nervous, but I know it's going to help me.
