Trying for a Baby Part 8

Hmm 5po and I've just been googling coldsores as an early pregnancy sign. Far too early to be ssing0

Oh God, a few things have combined today to turn me into Little Miss Misery... It's my birthday tomorrow, so I'm having a party tonight, and despite OH's reassurances, when I got home from my 12.5 hour shift yesterday the place was still a tip, the spare room's inaccessible (someone's supposed to be staying in there tonight ), he hasn't sorted out his costume and I have cupcakes to bake for lacto-free (and 8 months pregnant) little sister. I have a spot on my chin, my hair's not co-operating and my costume makes me look fat. Plus the people who were supposed to be fitting a new floor in the bathroom didn't bother to show up, so the bathroom looks disgusting.
Two people who I thought were my good friends are going to the party of another 'friend' instead (to which I wasn't even invited and only found out about one of them had to make their excuses to me, the other didn't even bother to reply). It's not a special birthday for me, so I didn't expect OH to go to too much trouble - but he's really exceeded himself this year in the 'leaving everything to the last minute and underwhelming me' stakes. It's his 30th in a few weeks so I've been working hard for months to make his day special, and he's just this morning decided to tell me that I won't be getting anything from him unless we make time to go shopping today and I pick it myself. Why on earth do I bother?
I'm really hormonal and always get a bit testy around my birthday anyway, as it always reminds me of who's not around; so it's just taken catching the end of the Scrubs where Carla discovers she's pregnant to push me into a weepy mess hiding in the bathroom. I don't think it helps that I've not told anyone on the (postnatal) ward that we're trying, so they keep trying to convince me that I'd be a greeeeat mum by foisting newborns onto me when I'm least expecting it. It's adorable, but soooo painful sometimes, especially when (as happened earlier this week) it's a baby that the mother doesn't even want and is being taken into care
All in all I predict being a blubbering mess for the next couple of days, sorry.0 -
Huge hugs amyloofoo, don't know what else to say, hope everything turns out ok and you have a great party xx0

Hope you have a fab party amyloofoo. I usually find that after a few glasses of wine no one notices the state of the house lol.
BFN on first response (although i stupidly assumed all first response tests were accurate from 4 days before af but these ones said from the day of a missed period!). Only have one digi so reluctant to use it if its too early! Although i wouldve thought i would get a BFP by now if i was pregnant so maybe it was an evap0 -
Hugs amyloofoo I hope you manage to get things sorted for tomorrow so you have a lovely birthday x
Hugs to you toothfairy maybe it's still a little early? The cheapies can sometimes be more sensitive than the expensive tests so can show up a line sooner. Fingers crossed in a few days you get a nice clear bfp x0 -
Teamlowe - Thanks for the tips,
Anything to make the queasiness go away. How long did it take for you to get used to them?
Amy - ((bigs hugs)) Happy birthday I hope you finally manage to enjoy the party. It must be very hard working around babies.
Lilymay - Hope you are right about the hsg and fertility. Mine is booked for the 8th
COMP - Nice to see you. Hope it is your month too;)
Tooth - Thinking of you. Good Luck POAS:)0 -

Mine the 6thEverywhere I read said the test should be performed between about CD7 and CD12 to ensure you're not pregnant but I guess the NHS fudge these sorts of things
I'll be CD19. My local hospital only have 2 clinics a month and the other clinic was when I was about CD4 so I still had some brown bits of old blood (nice!)
From what I gather, if there isn't anything majorly wrong the dye helps to 'flush out' the tubes thus giving things a better chance. I have no idea how much truth there is in that but I read it in more than 1 place.
Good luck for yours.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
