Hmm. Ok the bleeding stopped last night so I piac this morning on my last ic.Not buying any more - they're evil! There's a very faint line that I can see clearly without tilting the test. Its faint though and not convinced that its not an evaporation line - been here before. Advice please ladies? Do I buy proper tests on the way into work? Or wait and see if AF shows up properly?? Arrgh. Surely at 15dpo I'd have a darker line?

Code i think the rule is if you can see the line when you hold it at arms length then its a definite line. i'd buy a test anyway cos you're not going to be able to concentrate on anything else! :p x x

  • Morning all, Monday didn't waste any time in showing it's mug did it!

Code - I can't believe you're even asking! Get another test for sure! Those IC one's are a bit hit and miss, so maybe try a FRER or a CB digi..at least those take the ambiguity out of it all.

Good luck and report back asap!

As for me. 12 DPO today and I am really struggling not to test. If it wasn't for OH being quite firm with me, I probably would have by now.

AF due on Weds, so going to test thursday am as I figure if I get a BFN on Thursday at least I don't work Thursdays so can be miserable and disappointed at home. That's of course if AF doesn't show up, and I am feeling crampy so could go either way.

good point. Quite apart from anything else the rules of sod's law state that as soon as I put myself through the excrutiatingly embarrassing act of buying yet another test, AF will arrive in all her colours.

code - I'm going to go against the flow a bit here (ooh controversial :rotfl:)

I'd say wait, if you can bear to do it. If you're not going to be able to think about anything else you maybe better off peeing on something - but if you can wait a few days I would. If it's a BFP now, it will still be in a few days.

Obv. just my musings of course.... I'm always worried about getting a chemical so I'd rather not know and go straight to AF, iyswim.

Hmmm... I think that made more sense in my head then when I tried to write it down! Good luck :D:D

I know what you mean tea lover. I didnt stop off for a test on my way because I felt like AF was here. She isnt but I am convinced she's coming and couldnt bring myself to look at a blank test or a harsh digi "not pregnant". May pop out at lunchtime to the far away boots where there's less chance of nosy people from work seeing but...I'm not convinced it wasnt another evap and so am 98% sure that AF will come sooner or later.

  • Hi ladies, sorry I haven't read back yet.

Rang the doctor's this morning for my blood test results. This is what the receptionist told me the doctor had said: I have hormone problems and I have to try for two years before being referred.

I am a bit confused. Firstly, I have no idea what the hormone 'problem' is, so don't know if I can do anything to help the situation. And secondly, we now have to try for two years rather than the 18 months he told me when I saw him.

I had a BFN this morning. AF is due today, but I'd had a dream I had a baby (again!) so stupidly did a cheapy test first thing.

Wish I hadn't done the test or rang the doctor's now. :(

DH has this week off and this has not been a great start to it. Wish I'd had that JD and coke last night now. !!!!!!.

Sorry to be such a downer. Will catch up with the thread now.

    Lily, that sounds stupid.

Get another appoinment with that doctor and rage! They have identifed a problem but won't refer you? Err no. If that doctor is useless, book another one.

You will have to fight your corner because no one else will.

Squirrel, thanks for doing the list again :)

Welcome back QQ! :hello: Hope you feel better soon x

    Hugs for AF rumfeeble x

codemonkey, fingers crossed for you :)

I have called the doctor's surgery back, they're going to ask the duty doctor a couple of things I've asked, which is could I have more details on what the hormone problem is, and why do we now have to wait for two years?

She said if I'm not happy with the answer I can book another appointment. Which if I do it will be with another doctor!! Can't believe a receptionist had to tell me that news! Surely they should have called me in for an appointment to discuss the results?!

Was just talking to DH and guess it must be good news really if we have to wait longer as surely that means we have a fairly good chance of conceiving.

But then again they have not tested him yet, so we have no idea if there any problems with him.

LilyTheLegend - I agree with LilyMay. Definitely get an appointment with the GP to discuss the results first, and if need be get a second opinion about the referral. Also, if it was a cd21 test to check if you are ovulating, and you have cycles longer than 28 days, ask for a retest later in your cycle as the test should be 7 days after ovulation, which is not always on day 21!

Getting results from reception is always a bit hit and miss. My GP receptionist told me the results were 'satisfactory. no further action required'. What that really meant was the GP was satisfied i.e. didn't need the receptionist to book any further tests, but in reality i actually had v. low progesterone levels and was tested for PCOS! I also remember LilyMay's GP receptionist saying that an URGENT telephone consultation was needed - and LilyMay I definitely don't mean to suggest that your results were not important or anything like that, but they were not life threatening, and I remember it really worried you.
