Hugs TeamLowe
do it again just to be sure and then take yourself off to the supermarket and buy lots of wine, chocolate cake and enjoy.... fingers crossed for a BFP soon xx
Hugs to Amy too - I dont know how old you are but your friends seem particularly childish to me. I'm 32 and I have friends like that but I've decided that life is too short too take their behaviour to heart.
Can you cancel your Centre Parcs trip without losing much money? If so, you and DH should just take yourselves off somewhere for a romantic weekend instead of spending it with people who really arent worth it.
I dont know which CD you are on but I'm also giving you the same advice as TeamLowe - wine and chocolate cake are a fix all.
I'm only advising this as I can't have either but I don't want other people to suffer!!!:rotfl:

Amy your 'friend' sounds pretty out of order herself! I mean it wasnt even her your DH upset - and sounds like he only upset the other one because she was excluding you. So basically both hypocrites. I definitely wouldnt be going away with them! Book somewhere nice for you and DH to make up for the dinner they spoiled.
And if she is ok with sending you texts like that, Id either send another one back or call her and ask why exactly did she say that, seeing as you are getting on fine with friend no.2 now. And then Id decide whether or not to be friends with her anymore depending on her response. Does she seriously think youd go away for an entire weekend with a load of couples by yourself when you are married just because she told you to?
Hope everyone has a nice weekend. Nice and sunny again!0 -
Just a quick hello and good news. I was a bit of a lurker on the previous TTC thread and posted a few times at the start of our TTC. Came off the pill last october and waited a full three and a half months for my first post-pill period. Started 'not trying-not preventing' and then a bit more of an effort as summer rolled on and I realised my spaced out and not too regular periods could be an issue.
Anyway, peed on a stick (or two) this morning and got positive results! going to test again tomorrow and then make drs appointment. Good luck to everyone trying xxfran-o0 -
Amyloofoo - if I were you, I'd still go as a couple (as it's booked and presumably you've paid a deposit) but not go as part of the birthday group if you see what I mean. Go and have a lovely weekend with DH. it's a public place and your friend can't stop him from going.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0

Hi everyone, thanks for the sympathy. I'm sorry to be such a downer and no doubt lots of the emotionality (is that a word?) comes from it being CD1.
Well I sent her a very measured text (think not angry but disappointed) explaining that I wouldn't go as it would be very uncomfortable and I didn't feel that she was being fair, and she text me back essentially implying that I should have grovelled to her on behalf of DH. I cried and composed an angry text, but I've not sent it and don't plan to. I'm just going to ignore her childishness - I'm sure she'll come around when she wants something / boyf has dumped her and if not then it's clearly not a huge loss.
I was due to pay the deposit this week so haven't actually lost anything but a friend, and I will be 'reinvesting' this money in going away with DH. We're 26 this year so I expected everyone to be a little more grown up, but never mindAnyway, had a little cry and moved on so to more important things...
Congratulations! to Trina and Fran, hoping for a happy and healthy pregnancy to both of you :T *big hugs* to anyone else in need / on CD1 and I will be seriously pursuing your excellent suggestion of wine and chocolate Squirrels.
P.S. extra :grouphug: to TeamLowe, your forever baby is coming and you definitely 'deserve' it (not that it's healthy to think in terms of deserving or otherwise). I'm not feeling very articulate today, but all the caring you show toward others, including your RL friends and people on here, just demonstrate what a wonderful mother you will be when your forever baby comes along.0 -

Were they exactly the same test? Did you use FMU for both? Was it a TLP or BFP? How many DPO are you currently?
Sorry for all the questions, I am excited! :rotfl:0 -
