Mv, can't help on the ewcm, but I've always used the cb ov digis when I get home from work - usually about 5/6pm, and got a result every month except this one (which I think was me testing too late).0

yes maybe i'll use them in the pm when I get home rather than the morning.

So I tested with the digi ov stick this morning and got the blank circle, as predicted as I imagine I'll ov around CD 12,13 or 14 (today is CD10).
However just now (tmi alert) I felt a big blob of something, investigated and it is what appears to be tons of EWCM...!!!!!!??? Really stretchy stuff too. So..does that mean I may ov sooner rather than later? I suppose I could try and tempt OH for a quickie (although we are both a bit knackered today)...any thoughts?
Which is more accurate do you think? The sticks or the EWCM?
When I conceived my little girl it was based on EWCM as I didn't do any ov tests. We weren't really trying but I couldn't help monitoring for "signs" of ovulation. Turned into a bit of a "maniac" around that time and low and behold, baby Cora was the result!
This month i've decided to do ov tests to see if things have resumed now i've stopped breastfeeding and I got a positive result, used internet cheapies then double checked with a CB digital and got a smiley face too. Had EWCM a day either side of getting the positive ov test and some crampy feelings, headaches and generally feeling out of sorts.
Hubby away at work this month so a wasted cycle in that respect, but its showed that something is happening now so fingers crossed everything will be good next cycle when he is home!:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
Well we BD"d anyway..shame to waste perfectly good EWCM!
Think im going to keep testing in the am after all as it says not to urinate 4 hrs before testing and there"s no way I can go that long between wee's!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

We're lucky really - his shift pattern is exactly 28 days and i'm 28ish days cycle and due on just as he gets home, so there should be an opportunity each time he is home (every other month).
His boss has been trying for a baby for 2 years now (his wife has anyway!) but he's never home at the right time to do the deed!:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -

The danger zone that is google! At the risk of TMI...it's a small, hard white lump. Really painful but I'm due my smear on Tuesday anyway so am following the NHS self-care guidelines until then and hoping it goes away.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
MV - re: ewcm. Toni Wechsler in her book Taking Charge of Your Fertility basically says that if you see ewcm you should BD! Sperm can survive longer in ewcm than normal fluid, so even if you don't OV for a couple of days hopefully they will be swimming around waiting for the eggy!
Team Lowe - sorry to hear about the work situation, and hope your weekend is not ruined worrying about it((hugs)) for the BFN, hope it was just a bit early and a shy bean...
Big ((hugs)) for all the CD1s.
I just had another advert pop up in the sidebar on Facebook. This time it was for Conceive Plus and said 'trying to get pregnant'? (or something like that). I've hidden the advert and this time I selected 'misleading' :rotfl: I've used it on loads of cycles and not got pregnant!!0 -

I had read that on here and a few other forums claire, and was wondering if early morning testing was the wrong thing to do.
Trouble is, I don't particularly want to have to take the sticks to work with me and test in the office, and I'm up by 6 each morning and off to work by 6.30am.
It says on the instructions you can test any time of day as long as you test at roughly the same time each day. I may email the CB folks and see what they say.
Just use them when you get home, evening is fine! I wouldnt want to test at work either, would have to spend too long in the loo and hiding a pee pot :rotfl:Metranil_Vavin wrote: »Sorry, just a quickie.

I find for me ewcm comes before, and then on ov day too normally. So could be your about to very soon! (although sometimes I get it a week ahead  which is misleading!)0
