Claire - Hi! I'm quite looking forward to winter. I much prefer wrapping up all warm to swanning about in a bikini!

    And me for...

Had my interview today; it went really badly! I just fumbled most of what I want to say. To be honest though, I have quite enjoyed work recently so I'm just not bothered. Quite a nice feeling not to 'need' the job if you get me?

My PMA for this month has flatlined. I *know* I have already ovulated...but today is CD21 so normal ov day and I found some ewcm before and it just confused me. Meh :( I've done that many negative pregnancy tests I can't comprehend one actually being positive again. On the plus side, I've lost 4lb so far. :o

Ooh I love nothing better than getting in a bikini and having a bbq or going to the beach (although Id probably cover up a bit if we had people round :rotfl:) So Ive got my fingers crossed it gets hot again in a few days that the bbc is currently predicting..

Do you live up north? If so thats probably best then if you like wrapping up if its anything like my experience of going to uni in manchester! :) I must admit I dont mind it when its really cold, like snowy, and having nice boots, and woollen jumpers and all that. But I cant stand it when it rains and is grey and the nights get dark so I dread autumn coming. Mind you it didnt really rain last Autumn or winter so fingers crossed for that to happen again!

Glad to hear youre enjoying your job now, incase this new one doesnt work out.

Are you still temping? I seemed to get about 3 lots of ewcm this month so I find that really hard to go on now.

As for the 12 month thing I dont know how they come to that conclusion. Maybe there's that many people who take over a year, compared to the ones who take 1 bd, to even it all out!

Although unless they ask ppl when they get pg how do they get that statistic anyway?

I do indeed live up North. I recently moved back to the North West...but before that lived in Sheffield for 6 years so know more than most what cold weather is really like! I totally agree about the rain though - it is rubbish. Rain and wind can both go and jump off a bridge for all I care :rotfl::rotfl:

I've taken a couple of temps this month - mostly around when I ov'ed, just to confirm it. I know now what my pre and post ov temps are like now, so 36.6 for me is most definitely post ovulation!

I have a stressful day at work tomorrow and another early start (giving this presentation to my big big big boss) so must go to bed. Night all, and good luck to anyone testing tomorrow. Is there anyone?

Not sure who is testing next..I need a fix though!

    Hey ladies

    I've had a bit of a rubbish week. :o

My grandad has had cancer for a long time, but its spread to his brain now so he is very very poorly :( Have been trying to help support my grandma / mum / dad etc. Trying to relieve the stress from my mum by telling my brothers and sister all the updates etc. He doesn't have long left now, which is fine, he is old and had a lovely life and I don't want him to suffer. I'm finding it a bit hard to prepare DD for it, as I don't think she coped very well with the baby dying, and it is so close to that I don't want her upset all over again. I guess you can't protect them from everything tho :o

In amongst that, work is very busy, and we've had lots of other things going on too, so its been a busy and stressful time.

Still want this to be our month tho, so we're agreed to BD every 2 days for the next couple of weeks as I'm not very good at pinpointing ov and my cycles are irregular still. I had the convo with DH of what I expected of him, and then said we could still make it fun - just that he knows not to deny me now :rotfl:

    Have been reading along tho.

QQ - Hugs for CD2 - Hope you manage to ov early this month.

COMP - Sorry to hear about your Aunt :(

    Needhelpsaving - Congratulations - wishing you a happy n healthy 9 months.

Hugs for all the others that the witch caught :( Hope you don't see her again this year.

MrsJ - Hope you manage to go back to work ok. I felt better once I was back in a proper routine (well once I could manage not to sob so much). In the meantime, just try and do some little projects - maybe make something for christmas, or write emails/letters to people you should have done a while ago - sort through your paperwork (I hate this job, always have a backlog of things to be filed or shredded) Do a jigsaw, read a book etc etc. I think you should go with the NTNP lark for a while. Its more fun that way :D

Loulou - 3 of my crickets once escaped when I had a lizard. They were bloomin noisy!! I feel very sorry for you. The took ages to catch too cos when you got close to them they stopped chirping  I wouldn't worry about your OH / baby crying in the night just yet. Men are usually quite helpful for the first little while, and when you are on maternity and they are at work it seems so mean to get them up in the night as you can nap in the day. And anyways - you will no doubt have one of them babies that sleep through from day 1. ;) Thats what I am aiming for as good things come to those who wait :p:cool:

Welcome to the newbies. May your stay here be short and sweet in the nicest possible way. Feel free to ask any questions you like - nothing is a daft question or TMI on here :p:o

Sure there is more I wanted to say but can't think of anything else for now. Will try to keep more up to date :o
 Married my lobster in July 2011

TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait :o

 2013 is going to be our lucky year

Ooh MrsJ be carefully you've decided to be careful! The reason they say you're more fertile after a miscarriage is you could ovulate at any time! SoOv might be tomorrow, or a week, or yesterday!

 I thought it was a bit of an old wives tale about being more fertile after a miscarriage!! I'm so glad you mentioned that... as I was thinking we could just avoid BDing around OV this month (opposite to usual!). We have decided we'll use contraception this month, feels really counter-intuitive but definitely the right decision and in the big scheme of things one cycle is not a long time to wait.

I think bribing your DH with a burger king is such a good idea. I reckon my DH would be up for that when we are ttc again. Imagine the stories in twenty years time... 'well your father wasn't keen that night but I said he could have a bacon double cheeseburger if he did'. Lol about the Chinese takeaway guy and his Kia!!!

QQ - thanks for asking about DH. He's doing ok. He was devastated about the miscarriage but I think he's coping well and we are talking lots which I think is a good thing. He is really scared about another pregnancy though, part of his reason for wanting to wait at least one cycle before ttc, and he keeps saying he's worried if I got pregnant this month and it went wrong it would be (I quote) 'our fault because we were naughty and didn't listen to the nurse' :o

LilyMay - hope you get your PMA back. Good news is you've ovulated a bit earlier than normal, and WELL DONE on the weightloss!

MV - good luck testing at the weekend!

Claire16c - I agree, I'd much rather be in a bikini at a barbecue (maybe we are destined to live in Erinsborough? They love a good bbq on Ramsay Street) - love what you said about covering up a bit if people came round :rotfl: We are so lucky as we live very near to the beach, about a 10-15 minute walk, so I was down there this morning, not in a bikini I might add as it's a bit chillier today!

Elsie - ((hugs)) for feeling rubbish and AF on the way :( Hope you can treat yourself to some chocolate/wine and that next cycle will be the one for you!

benhope - welcome to the madhouse! Hope you will have a short and sweet stay and a BFP very soon :)

All Lurkers - Hope you are all ok, do post and let us know how you are if you want to. Secretdebts and codemonkey haven't seen you in a while, how are things?

I spoke to HR again today and my idiot boss will still not let me go back to work. She is just being difficult (it's like repayment for me being 'difficult' last week because I had a miscarriage.........). I was begging HR to let me go back but they couldn't authorise it without her permission. Two more days of enforced sick leave... I feel like such a fraud!

Abis - posted at the same time as you! Big ((hugs)) sorry you are going through a hard time and sorry to hear about how poorly your grandad is :( I am sure you will handle it really well with telling your DD and making sure she is ok, I bet you are really good at explaining things and being very sensitive, and as you said, sadly you can't protect them from everything :o

Fingers crossed this is your month! BDing every other day sounds like a good plan, hope your DH will comply (or will you have to resort to Burger King bribes like TeamLowe [STRIKE]and probably me next cycle[/STRIKE]?! :D)
  • Huge hugs all round this evening

DH is really annoying me with his ss this month. I've had nosebleeds every day since Saturday. Not satisfied with my explanation of hayfever and stress, DH is convinced it's a pregnancy symptom. he won't listen to me when I say that 4dpo is too early for any kind of symptom!

Men. It would be so much easier if we could do this without them!

(and Lilymay, no I haven't left and gone back to the other thread)
Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP

Perhaps we just need two seasons - summer, with no rain, and proper cold winter - but again no rain :)

I just looked at your chart and youre right you must have ov! Good luck with your presentation!!

How weird is that why wont she let you come back whats her excuse?? Oh well make the most of it and put your feet up!

Ooh Id definitely like to live near the beach - we are always in the 2 hour traffic jams of people heading to Bournemouth or Brighton on a hot weekend - I wanted to go on sunday but was too tired after the paralympics in the end to face the drive!

Hmm yes perhaps we are! Love a good barbie!

Hope this month goes fast for you :)
