Neither's my DH although he's not too bad around ov. He prefers to know when ov is for this reason. The rest of the month he could take it or leave it, but around ov he makes more of an effort to BD either every other or at least every three.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Hi everyone,
I've been lurking for a few months, and i just wanted to post for the first time as i read all your messages pretty much every day, so it's abit one-sided! Me and my boyf have been NTNP, no temping or anything yet, just trying to enjoy the whole process. It still occupies pretty much every thought during my day... does anyone else spend entire car journeys thinking about baby names? Obsessed? Me?
Just decided to post to say congrats for the BFPs, and to introduce myself !PommeVerte

Massive congratulations to BB and Tink. Fantastic news and a boost to the September BFPs.
Big (((hugs))) to bigzippy and Mrsj. Thinking of you both. Hope I've not missed any other important news as I had to quickly scan through. Loads of posts this last couple of days or is it just that I've not had the time to read them.
Well I've been feeling really disheartened at being on CDsillynumber and hoping for AF so I can go and get my bloods done at the surgery. Still nothing and absolutely no symptoms other than I actually have a bit more energy than usual. I wasn't even sure if I Ov'd this last month and only BD'd twice. I asked OH to get some cheap testing sticks up town just so I can be sure and tried using one this afternoon........BFP!!!!!!
I'm so excited but it feels unreal cos I have no symptoms. I will test again later and again tomorrow to be sure. X0 -

Sorry to butt in ladies. BZ I don't want you to feel I'm teaching you to suck eggs or that I am an oracle on the subject of IVF, and I know different areas have different criteria but when I had funded IVF way back when our PCT offered 3 rounds of IVF and any subsequent frosties made from those cycles were included in a single funded cycle. We had four funded cycles (3 fresh and 1 FET as we only made frosties once) of course if you have been told otherwise then that sucks. Also, I'm not clear on why they can't do egg collection normally? For various IVFs (I'm a vet of 9 rounds now) I've had both tubes blocked with adhesions, one tube and now none and have had usual egg recovery each time. Unless there are others reasons for it this seems a little odd to me. Again sorry if I've missed something and there are additional factors I have missed. One thing I have experience of is that if your tubes are as bad as they think than removal is probably better in the long run. They can produce a liquid harmful to embryos and you can get an IVF ectopic also, this happenc to me on round 7, which is where my last tube went, good riddance I say! Sorry for butting in, I hope I haven't overstepped the mark2 angels in heaven :A0

I didn't even know you lurked on here!
I guess I'll only know for sure what their criteria and limitations are when I actually get a consultation with the Assisted Conception clinic rather than the FS I saw yesterday. She was a consultant rather than my usual FS too, so maybe my FS (who's more experienced and something like the Medical Director, and just gives you more of an air of "I mean business") will have more to add in the meantime (I'm assuming I'll see her after the op - which she'll be performing). I'm only really gonna know what IVF protocol will be when I get to AC though, but I'm encouraged that you didn't have to have EC that way, as I didn't fancy that!_pale_ Interesting what you say about the tubes and harmful liquid... did you have them clamped?
ETA Congratulations Claret"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Mine were both removed, first was a natural ruptured ectopic with full salpingectomy and second was an IVF ectopic, again with a full salpingectomy. They could have saved the second tube but it wasn't worth it, it was covered in adhesions and could only cause harm.
This is abut the fluid in tubes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrosalpinx
I didn't have this but many fertility bods recommend tube removal where they are useless as they can cause ectopics and pain etc, I'm not sure on the clamping or tying, but reckon that may have the same result.
Just let me know if you want to ask anything, like I say I'm not a doctor, only a well versed IVF long termer x
Oh and Google will often tell you your PCTs (primary care trust) allowance/protocol for IVF, what they do and do not fund etc.2 angels in heaven :A0
