Eastenders - Stella and Ben

Its good that they are highlighting child abuse but it is laughable how they completely change someone's character. Stella was this sweet, nervous little thing who is now acting like the girl in The Exorcist! :rotfl:
Though Ben is a little sh** and I was secretly cheering her on when she left him on his own in the London Dungeons. Now I'm the one that needs to get out more.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
does anyone actually believe that Phil would actually fancy Stella anyway ???I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0

The actress was in Four Weddings and a Funeral too. She played the female of the hippy couple who kept singing and playing the guitar.

She was Lydia, who met Bernard (David Haig of Thin Blue Line fame) a guest at the first wedding when she was a bridesmaid (she got drunk and started crying that she wasn't getting any... everyone had told her that she would get sex if she was a bridesmaid... Bernard offers and she comes out with the classic "Oh Bernard I'm not that desperate!").
Second wedding turns out to be Bernard and Lydia's, where they have very loud and cringy post marital hanky panky while Hugh Grant's character is hiding in the cupboard.
She crops up in a lot of things and I do find this very sad... that she has been reduced to appearing in Eastenders is an utter travesty!0 -

Well if it pays the bills, and it is prob paying far more than I will ever earn, then we cant knock it. Maybe she sees it as a fresh challenge.0 -

I did mean it a bit tongue in cheek, but yep, fair point
I'm trying to wean myself off Eastenders, but it's a hard habit to break since I've watched it pretty much since the beginning, but it really is utter drivel these days. The boy that plays Ben is as wooden as they come, I find the whole storyline totally unconvincing. And as for the Stacy/Max and May/Rob/Dawn story lines, don't get me started. Garbage.0 -
the kevin and denise stuff leaves me yawning. i go through phases of watching eastenders, getting bored then going back to watching it again. i have no idea who courtney is, or what ben was like when he first came into eastenders.
i think sophie thompson is just doing something different and probably having a laugh. she pops up in all kinds of things like midsummer murders etc. and doesn't stick to one type of acting.
i never thought she and phil would make a good couple though, they seem so different. and how come phil's not beating up any child who dares bully his son?
eastenders often annoys me with flimsy plots and characters changing their personality to fit a storyline but it's relaxing to switch your brain off for a while sometimes. i can't do that with creepy stella though, she scares me :rotfl:'bad mothers club' member 13

Doesn't it just?! Do you remember when Billy first arrived 'on the square' and he'd been beating up his nephew Jamie who was only a teenager? That part of his personality seems to have been forgotten about and now he's portrayed as an almost ideal father! Totally incredulous!0 -
Tonights has just finished. Ben has just turned the tables and Stella is going to be in big doo doo
Personally I think that Ben is as creepy as Stella0 -
Ben is very odd but so is Stella:eek:An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T

I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0
