Do you expect combined postage if buying more than one item?

Depends on the items p&p cost to begin with but if item costs £2.20 to send and thier charging £2.20 then thier is no reason not to combine if a lovley buyer decides to buy two products!
Saves me a trip to post office + transaction fee on paypal + more money in the bank.
No excuse for it! I have even refunded people before when I have over charged due to the weight of some of my items being unbareablly 745gs-755gs ugh -.-
I mostly refund international buyers if I charge more then I should as its so hard to get thier postage right...People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
just to point out P & P on ebay, usually isnt just the actual postage on the stamp, you have cost of the packaging itself, like the parcel paper/jiffy bag etc, and going to the post office to arrange it to be sent... just saying...
Which of course puts most buyers backs up immediately - what has the cost of getting to the PO got to do with them?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I only charge the amount it costs to post (though occasionally I will save a few p if I post at work - I pay for it but they have a business account so a small reduction). It annoys me when I don't get 5* every time - what else can I do!
I always offer to combine and have given unrequested refunds when people have paid immediately before an invoice, or occasionally sent 1st class instead.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I'd expect a reduction, for exactly the reasons you've highlighted.
You've done them a favour in buying several items and bidding higher than other buyers, they should not then make a tidy profit by combining postage but not passing on the benefits.
I bought 4 items yesterday where on the listing it said 'will reduce postage when buying more than one item'. I sent him an email asking for a revised invoice, no reply as yet. I had sent him two emails the week previous to enquire about these reductions, no reply to those either despite him being online listing more items.
If the reduction doesn't materialise then:
1. Pay for each item separately to maximise the Paypal fees.
2. Different delivery address for each item.
3. One star for delivery costs and negative feedback.
Some people may say I'm being harsh but I really have no time for shamelessly dishonest sellers.

What irritates me about these endlessly tedious threads on "buying a coffee on the way to the PO" is that we are all aware of cost before bidding. Never mind the bs that people don't know how much it costs until it arrives, which rock are they hiding under?
The OP would have been quite happy if they had bought from different sellers. Pretty chuffed with their bargains. But now, they have their back up because the seller won't comply with their wishes.
Feedback and DSR's are just a case of the lunatics running the asylum.
My advice would be to buy your goods from the high street. Much less angst.0 -

Whilst I believe for most people 5* is the default I think some people will automatically always find fault and drop a star for non existent reasons. However those buyers are few and far between, you've only got to look at the majority of sellers to see that on average most sellers maintain 4.8 or above.
The fact though that there are these odd buyers is a good reason why as sellers we don't want to risk upsetting the other buyers as well , if the normally 5* leavers are provoked by sellers adding on mileage, shoe leather or bus fares then we cannot hope to maintain our stars.
On my business account (where I do not offer freepost) I am currently showing 5* , however, without doing anything different at all that will drop to 4.9 where it usually sits most of the time.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My advice on the other hand would be too sellers. Stop trying to justify your charges on here, we don't care, we are unlikely to be your buyer. Keep your costs in line with other sellers and keep your account looking healthy.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The seller in this case didn't advertise combined postage kev.
But never mind the facts.
I have paid for 2 lots of postage.
Out of interest. How many parcels do you think I should receive? One or two?
Because if the seller is not 'offering' combined postage they should not be sending combined postage either. Agreed?0
