Royal Mail re deliveries not turning up!
Comments
-
Yesterday was the third time in two weeks a re delivery hasn't shown up! Quite annoyed and have phoned up to complain. Anyone know why this could be happening?
Lack of training probably the answer. When the regular postie is off they may put on a newbie to cover it. There is a lot of pressure on posties to get the mail onto the streets. Newbie is rushing things and can forget to check the re-directions. Happened a lot in my day as a postie.0 -
Thank you to the people who gave helpful answers, people who are just wanting to be funny can just not bother replying to my posts. You get too much of that on here already!!
I live in Durham and was interested to know the reasonings, such as any new processes that have been put in place etc, things that have made things worse.
Oh and to add insult to injury the parcels which I received a card for last Friday appear to have been lost, as my hubby went to collect them this morning and was told they didn't know where they were. Probably out for delivery and guess what nothing arrived today!!No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

you think people on a forum can tell you over the person you 'complained' to?
Well considering the person I complained to couldn't answer me, I hoped some helpful people on here might shed some light (without the funny remarks!).No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Yes because it is well known that RM personnel, from time to time, tell lies.
If there is some systemic problem with RM that they don't want to publicise there may well be someone who has a clue.
Exactly, thank you :-)No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

It wasnt an objection,it was common sense.
The OP hasnt even provided what the explanation was(if there was one)
The OPs question can't be answered, only hypothesised on.
What explanation do you want? My postman comes late in the afternoon, whilst I am visiting a sick relative, I miss the deliveries, I ask for it to be redelivered and it doesn't turn up!No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

No, there is no section on MSE regarding Royal Mail failures and compensation.
That wasn't too difficult was it, and the question had already been answered before you decided that sarcasm was better than useful input.
If you wanted further info from the OP, why not ask instead of trying to make them look small?
You said it all, thank you :-)No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

I didn't get post for 2 days. Never happened before - I get post everyday so to miss 2 was odd. I asked at local po as they often leave their bags there if busy and he makes them tea (the collection posties drop the delivery posties heavy bags). He said postie hadn't been in either.
At 9 pm on 3rd day my post came. It was delivered by a manager in a car- turns out postie had had a heart attack. He was ok but never seen him since- apparently he now works at depot.
So it may not be sinister- it maybe illnessJune challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving

Catmiaow, there are many things that could have gone wrong with your redelivery it would be wrong to speculate. RM are going through many changes atm, changes that are working in some places and are disastrous in others. Have you tried contacting RM via twitter on this one, I've found the team to be very good on there.
I could probably come up with 10 reasons about the why's, custardly could probably come up with a lot more having been in the job longer. Some of them could apply to u, some may not, think that's why custardly is asking about.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
