Just bought one!
Would also like to know how to make the wires work0 -
I assume you guys are saying the wiring colours are different on FIAT's & MG's wiring harness and NOT the ISO connector that is supplied with the Car Stereo ?
Can anyone confirm the Wiring Diagram is correct in the Car Stereo User Manual here (Page 6) :

yeah thats the correct diagram, i think its got something to do with the ignition and battery being wired differently on some cars.2007 Comping challenge -> £00.00 <-Typical luck!:mad:0

Hmmm. I think I'll let my dad sort this out when it arrives!!!!0

Just fitted the stereo in my car and had to swap the red and orange wires. I guess you could just chop them and join up the ends but heres a diagram showing how to disconnect the pins from the plug for a better job.

Although the pic illustrates the socket end the same principal applies to the plug end. You're trying to press in the little clip to release and then prise it out slightly so that it clicks into place when you swap them.
Best of luck with it, I'm off for a drive.0 -

So I will just need to swap - on the end of the new ISO leads (the part that connects to the cars wiring harness) the red wire with the orange?
Thanks for the diagram as it will save me cutting the wires!0 -
well done bluey i will give that a go tonight! did you get no power at all until you swopped them over?2007 Comping challenge -> £00.00 <-Typical luck!:mad:0

There was power, but switching the ignition off and on again meant that the settings on the radio were lost. The swap merely changes over the leads going to the battery (memory) and ignition (on/off).0

i didn't get any power at all, pants! i will have a go tonight though see what happens. why can't these things be easy!2007 Comping challenge -> £00.00 <-Typical luck!:mad:0

Here is a discussion of this model over on avforums http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=359058 . This model was recently a special offer in Aldi at £39.99
This is very tempting but I might leave it and spend some money on a respected brand name. Better than possibly wasting £29
Would be interested to read people's opinion on retailer and the stereo though.0
