Hey Robin, glad you got an expert :T view on the van and it's getting sorted soon. Zoomy dog is shattered after a long beach day today. He'd send licks and ear rubs for CD but he's not really a dog's dog so I'm sending them instead. Oh how much easier the childcare was when they were children. Have DD2 going off in a van when she and bff pass their tests. It's ok, they won't be going out of Europe. Oh, just Pyrenees mountain roads then? Fine.... am I entitled to be scared?!!!
CD good BD bad, btw. I've noticed down posts on here get greeted with a (meant to be respectful,I'm guessing) silence. Am of the shout it out and let the world cope school me`ssel. Shout. I promise to listen. Sure others will too:wave::wave:

Hi Robin,
I hope your Black Dog has gone to ground? Thank you for your kind thoughts for DH. He escaped from the BDs jaws yesterday, only for me to do something to trigger it again today, but thankfully he was able to escape with just a nip today.
His study of mindfulness has made a remarkable/astonishing difference to his recovery time. What used to take weeks and at worst months, now can be measured in days and at worst two weeks. I'd highly recommend anyone to learn the techniques which are very, very easy.
Hugs xWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Hello robin, I've lurked for a while and have read most of your thread! I really admire you and have my own personal black dog who is frolicking around in my head at the moment and creating mayhem!! My real dog, a Yorkie puppy called Pirin is a joy however as are my three cats and my DD, still at home and DS who is in lodgings. We live in West Sussex and I'm a secondary school teacher.
I hope the BD has kept quiet today. It's the second official day of spring!!!With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

Robin - huge apologies for not being around.
Firstly, I am happy to hear that you and CD are well, but look after yourself with the van!
Catching up with you has been a pleasure as always xx

Hello Diary and Friends-in-the-Box, :hello:
Thanks for posting, DFw, Missrlr, Dansmam, Satchmo, Hopeful Joy, Bubbles and Sparky. :T
Sorry to have been MIA for so long this time..
Must have begun this post a dozen times only for "the token" to run out when life got in the way..
As usual Muggins keeps trying to do too much as soon as the last ME episode subsides, which results in - crash! - days [weeks?] of not much at all.
Divo Three rescued me; arriving at a particularly low point when I think I'd been lying with wet towels on m' head for about three days - had managed to feed CD but that was all. Left the door open for her and huddled under a duvet to keep warm - luckily the weather is improving so no harm done.
DS3 washed up, cleaned up the kitchen, lit the stove and cooked up a vat of veg soup which was a life-saver, literally. After at least three days without food it took twelve hours to swallow the first bowl full, but since then things have been looking up.
Phew. Hello World, lol.
Divo Three took the van to get it fixed. Reckon his mate Boss used pattern parts - which is fine because originals weren't specified - as the total bill was only £75. Very impressed. :T
DS3 has still got the van. He 'phones or calls in every day to check whether CD and I need anything, took over when I was trying to plant out some little trees, and always offers to cook a meal.
...
Divo Three interrupted; brought some bread and the news that DS1 was robbed on a coach, somewhere near Lima. Only one bag, but annoying - 'fraid Mum was less than sympathetic when told Divo One was upset because his @pple product has been stolen (that'll teach him to support a brand which treats it's workers so badly!).
News from Divo Four: Instead of fixing his problem with the US diet by finding his own flat, he went for a part-time job in the canteen which serves halls. Very good; m' lad is looking at the bigger picture - improve the food they're all given, lol.
He's also fed up with waist-deep snow, so has decamped to Mexico for the spring-break holiday. An MSE trip - 26 hours on a long distance bus - to visit a friend he met at the last two Yoga Festivals.
Great.
Which reminds me: Divo Three wants to take the van to a local-ish music festival next week. He's running out of funds, has found out he'll only have part time work after Easter so fancies making some cash by running a cafe. Not a bad idea, although he'll have to chase around to find the kit (borrowed by a mate who - alas - has since died).
Right. Half a post better than none? Clever Dog says it's time for her constitutional so who am I to argue? :cool2:
Love to everyone, hope Life is treating you all well - hope I'll have enough braincells awake later to pop in on some of your diaries..0 -
Oh Robin, sorry to hear you have been incapacitated for so long. 3 days without food will have done nothing for your energy levels, but veg soup sounds a perfect remedy. Take care you Xx
Awful news about Divo one being mugged too.

Wow that is scary that you could be incapacitated for that long. I guess no one likes to intrude on you, ie neighbours? Glad that you are on the mend now though and yeas to Divo 3.I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
