    Oh Robin

I am sorry you have to face such a difficult day with all other build up of stuff.

Of course you want to help your Divos, and I am sure you have the best of reasons all in your head and heart, but please as Chevalier said make sure *you* are not suffering as a consequence.

For instance, is there really no way you can get the TV sorted for over there? Even if this means paying? It sounds like you do need this. IN the mean time how about streaming BBC Radio over t'interweb? I would say this has to be a priority for you for many reasons.

Hope your time out helps, I am convinced I am growing webbing between my toes with the amount of water falling from the sky these days!

Be kind to you x x

Hello my dear, thank you for your thoughtful message, it's very much appreciated.

I'm sorry you are struggling today, I remember how difficult a day it is for more than one reason. I was hoping that today would prove to be better than the last two have been. You are very much in my thoughts.

Be kind to you and if you need to get away from other peoples problems and lick your own wounds, please do just that.

Just know that we are here to care

I now feel like a right heel. Sorry Robin, as we don't 'do' Valentines in our house, it didn't occur to me how hard it must be for you to cope with. And then me having a gentle go at you too. Sorry I didn't choose a better time to do it. Ref the loan trap - it is his to avoid.
    regards and apologies again

Good morning Robin, I hope you are feeling a little better this morning? I sent you good thoughts through the ether last night, I hope they arrived safely.

I saw this recipe this morning and thought of you with all your avocado trees.

Tricolor Baked Avocado with Pesto Garlic Bread
    serves 2, vegetarian
Prep time: 5 mins Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
    • 1 or 2 avocados, depending on size & how hungry you are
    • 1 jar tomato pasta/marinara sauce
    • 1 ball mozzarella, sliced or ripped
    • fresh basil leaves
    • olive oil/chilli oil
    • salt & black pepper
You need two smallish ovenproof dishes. Preheat oven to 200 C.
Put one (or two) half (ves) of an avocado in the centre of each dish. Pour enough pasta sauce around each avocado to cover the bottom of the dish. Lay the pieces of mozzarella around the avocado, top with some basil leaves, season with salt and pepper and drizzle with little olive/chilli oil.
Bake in the preheated for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.

Here's the link which might lead to some other nice recipes:

What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Thinking about you Robin. Hope you're ok.

PS. Oh that looks YUM satchmo! Thank you!

Dear Diary and Lovely People, :smileyhea

Thank you everyone for all your wonderful supportive messages - very up-cheering they are!** :D
** Just did a silly FB quiz; who is 'your' Star Wars character? My result guess you can. :rotfl:

    The Nest has a new flower-bed. :cool2:
It's far too boring to describe all the work which went into it - in between rain squalls - so will just say there was plenty of opportunity to practise [meditation] during the seemingly endless task of sieving all the components for the beautiful friable soil it now contains.

Today's physical task is to try and separate some rather pot-bound irises which have been waiting a long time for their permanent home to be prepared. Not sure what to put in front of the green spear-like leaves - something colourful and low-growing which will spread (leaving less room for weeds, lol)? Perhaps with orange flowers - green and orange are the colours of Andalucia. Suggestions welcome. :)

Please forgive me, am going outside to plant the irises before the shine has gone from today.. Hopefully will get back later to reply to your kind comments, and have a read around the diaries. ;)
