Hello Diary and Dear Friends-in-the-Box, :hello:
Thank you for your well-wishes, Sun.A.
Had a DG day yesterday then slept for an almost unheard of twelve and a half hours (too long).
Now reckon must have picked up a bug at the craft workshop, so finally started knocking back echinacea and have brewed up a "healthy" soup of immune system boosting spices, garlic, onion, ginger and the peculiar greens from the garden** (- just as well CD doesn't mind garlic-breath :rotfl:).
** Can't remember what they are called or where the seeds came from; the only veg which is still going strong over winter - leaves look and taste like coriander, stems ditto celery - whatever it is it's very tasty.
Been bumbling about on lots of little bitty tasks with pauses in between all day. CD got cross with me because I forgot about her walk until suddenly realising it was almost dark.
Still haven't felt up to tackling THEM, but did remember to renew landlord's insurance.0 -
Hope you feel better soon

Thank you Granny; had the bright idea of digging out my asthma inhalers - wow what a difference in lung function!
Don't like using inhalers unless forced to endure city pollution, but.. If it makes the difference between being able to do what must be done [admittedly slowly] or gasping for breath after climbing ten steps, well it's a no brainer, isn't it?
Feel somewhat unsettled today; dreamed I found DS1 with his head bashed in.
Couldn't revive him, couldn't escape from the dream where I found myself facing his murderer. Eventually Police sirens segued into a ringing alarm. It's left me feeling very shaky. _pale_
The really weird thing while in the dream, was that Divo One had luxurious wavy hair - something not seen since he left his teen years behind. Worst thing was attempting to keep doing CPR while the murderer tried to drag me away - it was someone who used to be a mate years ago, until he stole a lot of money from us.
No idea what to make of it; not skilled in dream interpretation at all. Fighting the impulse to 'phone DS (he and DIL are away for a romantic weekend so wouldn't appreciate such an interruption).
Hmmm.
There's only one lonely log left in the woodshed, it hasn't rained for twenty four hours so track should be ok if the van's well loaded, therefore today won't be an NSD - time for distraction.0 -
Hum I think your dream might be a combination of drugs working and body fighting off infection ...... Glad you are taking pro active approach to tackling it. Nothing wrong with a steroid boost if you need it. Can't think living in a cloud is helping either!
Hope distraction works and you have a lovely day!

What a horrible dream, you poor thing I can understand why that would leave you rather shaken. Sure Missrlr is right about it being linked to being under the weather at the moment
Hope you managed to get out safely. Its blowing a gale here and so as OH is working all day, I'm staying wrapped up under my throw, reading and playing on my laptop.

Glad your lungs are feeling a bit better with the inhalers. I didn't use mine for nearly 6 months because of the lovely dry summer we had last year (compared to the winter months anyway) and just recently i've been having to use them every day without fail otherwise I end up walking the kids to school/taking the dog out and having to turn back because I can't breathe at all. My lungs hate damp air and I can't wait for the spring weather to break through!
That bad dream sounds horrific  I often have vivid dreams and when they aren't so nice I seem to remember them more for some reasonI hope you don't have any more! xx

That is a horrible dream. I know this is an obvious suggestion, but could the dream be anxiety related? I've had some real terrors when I've been worried about something in real life. There's a lot in what Misslrl says though, infections and fevers can cause extremely weird dreams in the night.
Good luck on the trip out, makes me glad of the oceans of concrete which comes with city living. Not a thought that's ever struck me before.Barclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.

Good morning Diary and Dear Friends, :hello:
Thank you for your kind messages, Missrlr, Granny, DFw, Fudgie and Lucky. :T
Think Fudgie may be right; horrible remembered dreams could be linked to anxiety (possibly re 'phoning THEM??)?
Not likely to be caused by meds, Missrlr, as I've not taken any of the heavy duty mind-bending type recently.
Or could actually be a healthy sign in as much as it suggests am achieving periods of REM sleep, when dreams occur (lack of REM sleep is common in ME / CFS people, including me - only mentioned it because that was the first time I've dreamed anything for years - shame it had to be a nasty).
Interesting that you think unpleasant dreams tend to be remembered better than good ones, DFw, I'd not considered that before.
Anyway, it wasn't repeated thank goodness.
Went into town; collected firewood and top-up shopping, took CD for a walk in the Botanic Garden which was interesting - until she stood on a cactus prickle, poor girly.
On the way home it started raining so I was very relieved to get back to the Nest safely (yes the hill was slippery - good job the van was full of logs; wouldn't have made it unladen).
Yesterday we woke up in the middle of a cloud.
There was no sound at all from the outside world; no cars passing on the road below, no church bells or shouts from one agricultural worker to his mate on the opposite hill. No birdsong, no bees..
The garden beyond pump-house and caravan vanished into a luminous gloomy wetness - it didn't actually get light properly all day.
By nightfall strong winds had started buffeting the Nest, accompanied by driving horizontal rain which soaked everything on the patio and set the mosquito screens clattering (adding to the general uproar). It was unremitting. At some point the electricity failed, although it's back on this morning. The rain clouds have moved East for now, but it's still very windy, cold and damp.
 Suppose I'd better go outside and see if there's any damage?

Hopefully there's no damage to the nest dearest robin, fingers crossed here for you. You have put a new spin on living with your head in the clouds for me! Very grey and miserable here today, although the clouds are where they are supposed to be rather than on the ground.
I hope today is relaxing and happy for you. Please scratch CD's ears for me and give her a huge hug.
