Hello Diary and MSE Mates, :hello:
It's grey, cold and windy today - can taste snow in the air (not far away). Another [STRIKE]thick 'ead[/STRIKE] dressing-gown day so have no priorities beyond preparing a huge pan of something which can be split and frozen to provide easy dinners when the energy to cook from fresh is absent.
Had a real disappointment last night; don't usually buy 'ready meal' type food, but was tempted by the German supermarket's de-luxe xmas range so - remembering Beach Restaurant's delicious offering of the same dish - bought a pack of langoustine soup.
It was awful.
Even CD wasn't impressed, although she did eat some after I added a few sardines to her portion.
The rest of it was only fit to become 'septic tank accelerator' - a complete waste of money.HeadAboveWater wrote: »:rotfl: Sorry!Always remember my primary school teacher using that polite-as-possible expression for your rear end and I guess it's stuck!! lo:)
Hello Haw, thanks for popping in - fancy a cuppa? Alas there is no cake today, but can offer some delicious cinnamon thins..
Think my problem with B.T.M may have been because B.T.L has been much in m' thoughts of late..HeadAboveWater wrote: »Hope so. Although not sure exactly who/when the ice is gonna get brokenThere's been barely any communication or contact between OH and his sister (although he doesn't wanna have to listen to her whining - tables have sure turned there, eh?! Yet I'm happily in contact with my bro once every few weeks as normal) *sigh* We'll see how it goes
All sounds rather complicated: Good luck! :cool:HeadAboveWater wrote: »Thanks for updates on el divosLoving the pool/trampoline plan!
Yes, it's a good one isn't it? Already refined by DIL1 though; she wants that rubberised material used on playground surfaces rather than decking under the wretched astro-turf; much softer if someone takes a flying leap off the trampoline, and not attractive to the many bugs which attack wood. Both good points.
Probably also more fun when taking bouncy flying leaps into the pool, too..
DGS is very lucky his Dad is a builder who can put this structure together at little cost, although it probably won't be ready by xmas because DS1 is very busy with his current project.
What might be possible is to clear the huge living room in their rental house and set up the pool indoors - that would be a unique feature for the xmas day family party!HeadAboveWater wrote: »Hugs to you and tickles to CD
Thank you from us both - CD is happy to accept cuddles 24/7. :smileyhea0 -

I've had my beloved Snowy, as west highland terrier (westie) since she was 12 weeks old. Today, after 19 lovely years, she has gone to doggy heaven.
God sent me home early from work today (I had a few hours owing), and at 3pm Snowy had a massive fit lasting more than 20 minutes. When she came out of it, she was wandering round in circles, not knowing where she was.
I rang the vet, who said take her to the veterinary hospital (about 20 minutes drive away). The vet there very gently said Snowy will have massive brain damage, and it wasn't kind to keep her alive. I had already practiced in my head saying that I didn't want Snowy to suffer, or to be kept alive if she was suffering, so hard as it was, I wasn't surprised. So at just after 4pm, I held her while she slept her last short sleep. The nurse and vet left me to have some time with Snowy before I tore myself away. I made it to my car before I started howling (yes, just like a dog howls).
She looked so peaceful afterwards, just like she was asleep. I'm very sad that there's a huge Snowy-shaped hole in my life and in my home.
God bless her, and thank-you Snowy for so many wonderful memories. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Aw Satchmo, I'm so sorry to hear about Snowy. Thank goodness you were there to help her and ultimately gave her the best gift you could.
Sleep peacefully Snowy. Huge hugs Satchmo XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
