Are your clocks on Double Summer Time, Valli? I'm just about to make myself a coffee if you'd like to join me in another!

    >...feel ill and very tired today

    Take it easy, mummyroysof3.

The plumber is coming later today to check the cold water tank in the roof space and will hopefully find where the leak is coming from.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

Been up since just after 6am as DD had a physio appointment at 9am so we had to leave at 8am to bus it. For a change we didn't get stuck in traffic so were half an hour early :rotfl: All's good though, she starts hydrotherapy next Tuesday, and we've been told to return the wheelchair :j

So now we have to concentrate on getting her uniform sorted out. Thats a trip to town now (only popped on the lappy to book the wheelchair collection :o) and a George order to be placed as our Mr A don't seem to have the teen sizes

I'll catch up with the list later, we did loads of housework yesterday so its not too bad. DD is going away on Thursday evening for a long weekend with ex's family so I'm going to be listing stuff to sell as I have 14 boxes of stuff and 7 vacuum bags of clothing  I was going to decorate, but decided that selling the stuff to raise some money to pay for the decorating would be a better use of my time :rotfl:

Going to kick DD's backside into gear & get her out to the shops on the promise of a maccies as a reward IF she behaves herself ;) Catch up later

Always time for a :coffee: in Villa Valli!

I now have to restock the-cupboard-under-the-stairs because the meter reader came *sigh*

but as DS is still in bed and DD is on her jollies 'tis a perfect time to clean the lounge!

So far I have managed to empty the dishwasher and restack, shower and do some stuff in the bedroom. Going to have a cuppa in a sec and then do a food inventory so I can meal plan. DH and I only get to see each other first thing in the morning and last thing at night during the week for the next 2 weeks so it will not be easy to meal plan but I am going to get the slow cooker out which should help, I can also eat the things from the freezer that he doesn't like!

Off to get the stuff and then to Iceland to buy some strong flavoured icecream as DD2 is a wimp!
GWS vibes for DD2. If I lived closer, I'd do some HM ice-cream for her.:o

Triker all the best for the new job.:o

Mr LW has managed a wee trundle out in the car - as far as the bank to pay in my cheque for looking after Jessie. It's the first time he's driven since he was poorly. He drove me because I knew I'd get royally lost trying to get there myself - and it was just as well as there were no disabled parking spaces outside the bank, we had to go down as far as the library which is outside of hobbling-distance for me.

He's looking at trying to return to work on Wednesday - today we want to get him eating "normal" food again, and tomorrow some household tasks (he can help with the Flying;)) and if he manages that with no ill-effect, back to work he goes!:o He finishes his anti-b's on Wednesday, too, so by then it should be all over bar the shouting, so to speak.;) Poor chap, he's never ill, and it was frightening how hard this hit him.

I've managed to chobble the back lawn ("mow" seems a tad too organised) so at least Derek and Clive won't have to jump to see over the top of it. It took me an absolute age though, and I'm totally done in now. But I couldn't leave it, it was an absolute disgrace.

We'll now just see what we can manage off my personal Flying lists over the next two days and take it from there.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

is anyone on here from yorkshire? going to havens blue dolphin (sounds like a chip shop to me) in october half term and need suggestions of places to go

    Me!

I'm a yorkshire lass! We visit the yorkshire coast often, and have taken our kiddies there for holidays over the last few years.

    1. Sealife Centre - Scarborough - it's not amazing but my kiddies love it, and especially good if the weather is bad. But, it's extortionate, we always hunt down a leaflet first with a discount, and take a pack-up
    2. Playdale Farm - Are you taking a car? If so, this is a short drive inland, but really good fun. It's not huge, but has a covered picnic area, play areas for big and small kids, soft play, a haybarn, which is hilarious fun. As well as all the animals. We usually go in spring, and they do lamb feeding with the bottles, but am sure they do activities in autumn too.
    3. Flamingo land, if you have older kids. Mine are a bit small for this yet. Again, a bit of a drive.
    4. Peasholme Park - Scarborough - Has a little train (think its a diesel pretending to be a steam) - nice park if you have a good day for weather.
    5. The beach - obviously! Filey beach is lovely, just check the tide times as it comes right in.
    6. I think there's a big fun swim centre in Bridlington.
    7. There is a miniature village somewhere between Brid and Flamborough, which is nice, but I can't remember what it;s called.

Your caravan site will have loads of leaflets, in the main office, and probably in your van too. I haven't been to Blue Dolphin, but Reighton Sands and Primrose Valley (both Haven and nearby) have playgrounds, clubhouse, swimming pools and lots of activities.

    Have a lovely time!

ETA there is a lovely fish restaurant in Filey called Inghams, big portions, but lovely fish and chips. DH used to get a special and it was like a whale!. We only ever ordered for two, and two extra plates, and there was still leftovers after feeding four of us! Very nice food, though!
