 thankyou for the wave mummy - I'm around 25 miles north of Lincoln but I managed to catch it
Greetings to LW ... just because....:)
Delicious smells of baking wafting in from every direction ...oh and cherry pie mmmm mmmm
I've been at the paid stuff all day but have managed to make an appointment with the Doc for my meds review (due August 2011 ) and I'm going to ask him if I'm menopausal or if some other underlying lurgie is responsible for crazy AF and cold sweats ...during the day not at night ever???
So that can be checked off my list - if I can find list...oh bother.
Welcome fishie
Healthy vibes to all the poorlies - esp. pigpen's GS bless him.
Will the holidaying flyladies be back this weekend? Or have they mostly gone for 10-14 days I wonder.
Painting spoons to Valli - probably too late for today but they keep well
Have a good weekend everyone xxIT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme0 -
I got poorly boy cuddles.. and bored him to sleepThe blood tests were inconclusive which is normal for whooping cough but it is registered as WC and treated as such
.. 4 of mine and Fabian have coughs!! we also think DD1 light have caught it first and given it to Samuel just after he was born.
Mummyof5.. DD1 said to tell baby D thank you for wanting little Sammy better and that she is giving him lots of cuddles. He was watching Kung Fu Panda 2 today and is getting rid of his nose tube tomorrow we hope so he will be back home with his huuuge doggy very soon. He has been taking his medicine from the doctor even though it tastes a bit nasty and he has been very brave.
DW on

staggers into thread I have spent most of the day in bed with a migraine.......
I am now not in pain thank goodness, but I seem to have lost 24 hours somewhere!
Pigpen - hope the little mite continues to get better - what are they doing about the others who are coughing? And how has DS and his diabetes fared with KH?
No flying to report but I'll have to do loads tomorrow, given that mum is coming on Sunday...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

The ones coughing we have to wait and see I think. DS1 took Fabian to Gp on Wednesday I think so we shall see how he goes on.. I'm just keeping a close eye on the others, it may just be a cold and nothing more.
DS isn't home until Sunday and I've not heard anything else from them. He wasn't in the hospital though so I guess things can't be that badLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Glad Samuel is on the mend Piggers. DS2 and DS1 both had WC when they were 3 and 5. DS1 wasn't too bad but DS2 was still being sick with the coughing a couple of months later.
DS3 still getting over the scarlet fever, his hands and feet are still peeling and his hair is really thin where it has been falling out - good side is that one of his verrucae peeled right off his foot with the skin.
Still little flying being achieved here, may have a blitz over the weekend. Very tired now but need to stay up for another 45 minutes to get DS2 from work. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Dusty.. My sister had it at 2 and she was sicking and coughing for months..
None of the rest of us have had it.. given there are so many of us and not one vaccination between us I think we have been mighty fortunate. 1 sis had wc at 2 and mumps at 25 and I had measles and rubella consecutive christmases (when I was 6 and 7) and DD3 had measles at 15 weeks.. 2 weeks after she had chickenpox and DD1 had measles at 3. Crazy isn't it how most of us avoided these things yet others were hit by them. My guess it is down to us being mudlarks and having amazing immune systems lol.
I am away to bed.. I want to whizz the girls to the seaside for ice creams tomorrow providing they are ok .. Dot has almost cut tooth number 5 so has been a dragon today and Squeak has 2 new molars and so just 2 more to get which are making her grump.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Painted until about 8:30 - spoons welcome.
I think tomorrow I will do som intesive carpet-scrubbing - we (mum and I) are thinking od sharing the hire of a rug doctor but a trawl through the forum suggests that they wont remove stains - as the carpet is (a) in the dining room and (b) in a high-traffic area I think a bit of extra effort won't go amiss - would appreciate it if anyone has any dos/don'ts or general carpet advice BTW (we use the back door - leads into kitchen, kitchen is tiled so the fisrt carpet anybody usually encounters is in the DR and it shows.
DS left hios facebook open on here. he now has lots of new friends:rotfl: he's ever so cross ;rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

That's exactly what I've been doing, cyclingyorkie.
Pigpen, I am glad Samuel is looking so much brighter and hope the rest of the family get over their coughs without further ado. Whooping cough is miserable, far worse than migraine - and that's saying something!
Belated congratulations to all A-level students - you've all done much better than I did xx years ago.
(((Hugs))) and spoons to all in need.0 -
Morning!
Virtual painkillers to all those in need. We're having a quiet weekend at home. Been far too much excitement lately...
Have a good day all. I'll be washing all the bedding from yesterday :hmm:Bossymoo
