  • Wow, just found this thread and it is exactly what I need.
I wouldnt say my house is a terrible place but its really messy all the time. Things are never put away and when i clean it seems dirty again straight away and it all gets on top of me.
Your lists are just perfect as they will give me a plan and also hopefully a little support.
I dont work at the moment as recently had a breakdown which has now brought back depression so everything I do is a big struggle.
Will start with everyone else on Monday - really looking forward to it

Welcome to the flying school, fishies!

I think all of us have been in your position at some time or other, for a variety of reasons. You will get lots of encouragement and support on this forum. Don't try to do everything at once - just go for level 1 at first, and you'll soon see the difference it can make. It will then be so much easier when the room comes round again the next week. And you *definitely* mustn't feel bad if you don't finish the whole list in a week, or if you decide to do different jobs, or if you have to take a complete rest from flying because you're not up to it. Every Monday sees the slate wiped clean and we all make a fresh start, which is totally liberating! :j

I'm quite new here too and have met some lovely people on this forum. Everyone is so helpful, and you'll soon get to know us.

    Hi all.

Welcome fishies good to have you aboard; ionafan speaks correctly - baby steps, and no beating yourself up if you don't get everything done.;)

lamewolf, I can confirm that is is standard 'best practice' procedure now that that we evil Catberts do a RTW interview for every sickness absence. Complete formality but it has to be done, we do making sure we know if you need support to return (H&S/discrimination stuff mostly), and an opportunity for people to say it was stress, my manger is evil, etc. Generally box ticking by the more audit driven of my profession :o. Really not worth fretting, HTH
:rotfl:@ "evil Catberts" - we both love the Dilbert cartoons.:D Thanks for that; I suppose I still have horrible memories of pretty much being hauled over the coals after I had my broken jaw. The annoying thing was, I'd have been back after three weeks if they'd agreed to the surgeon's stipulations; but because they wouldn't allow me any leeway whatsoever, (I had my jaws wired together, so couldn't do phone work, and was supposed to have a "nutritious drink" eg C0mplan or something similar every 2 hours - through a straw as that was the only way I could have it), the surgeon himself said I was to remain off for the full three months. Can you tell, I still feel bitter nearly 30 years on?:rotfl:
Mr LW isn't at all worried - it's his colleague/immediate superior "V" doing the interview, and he gets on very well with him. We still don't know where he picked up the infection - probably never will. Just thankful he's OK now.:o
Shall we have a day off tomorrow?
*sigh* I have to do the spare room today; I sometimes try and do it on a Thursday, along with the bedroom, but I was purely and simply too darned exhausted yesterday.:(

Also, poor little Clive was sick this morning.:( He seems OK now; I think he'd ingested some fur (from the looks of their coats, they're both due for clipping) but I'll keep an eye on him today.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Get some veg in for weekend from aldi
Strip and remake all beds, including spare
Tidy dd bedroom, did DS last night but omg when I saw her floor I just shut the door lol. Will prop only take 10min if I get on with it...[/STRIKE]
Bit of ironing, there isn't loads.
    Collect tots after lunch
Do a bit more in garage later. It going great, flung some old mostly empty paint tins, have two bags of DH shoes, including his big workboots. Might take them to cash for clothes... He'd be telling me to get a few quid for them if I can, bless him.

I think that's enough, I should paint the shed door, but it looks like rain so I'd better leave it, lol

Done all the bedrooms, feel really tired now ;) might ave to have a lie down...

    Afternoon all

Taken my mother to declutter her plaster cast
    DS1 away to golf
    DS2 away to work
DS3 encouraged to do 10 minutes maths - you'd have throught it was complete an A level paper the fuss he made.
    Just eating lunch.

Flying has consisted of putting washing on the line and ironing a shirt for DS2 for work. Need to do a list update to see what a huge list I still have to think about.

Fishes welcome - no beating yourself up, anything you do is good, anything you don't do is forgotten

I've tidied and sparkled the spare room, as best I can with the boys' "suitcase" in there; just trying to drum up enough spoons to make a cherry pie. Someone please give me a good kick.:D

    Cherry pie, Mmmmmmm!

I can't give you a kick, Lame Wolf, as i shall fall over if I try to - am on the third day of a migraine which was only grumbling before but is shouting at me today, and I shall fall over if I try any sort of acrobatics - but I will give you a gentle *push* in the right direction.

I have done almost nothing today except sleep on the sofa, under the influence of Migr@leve. Must move to get myself a cuppa to dilute the codeine which makes me feel almost worse than if I don't take anything (the pain behind my eyes has been replaced with heavy wooziness) and flying is definitely off the menu until tomorrow.

    Enjoy your cooking session!
