Pigpen glad he is getting better.
Walked into town to get the ingredients for my date and walnut loaf, was halfway home when I realised I had forgotten to put eggs on my list so hadn't got them so went to a local shop and ended up walking an extra 20 minutes. Have made the loaf which is in the oven now, washed bedding which is on the line, going to go and remake the bed while I wait for the oven to finish.

Aww, bless little Samuel; it's sad to see that tube taped to his little face, but if it's doing him good, it must be endured.
Derek & Clive have become experts in lead-plaiting - they had a good go at twining their leads together in some sort of Gordian knot when I took them out this morning!:rotfl:
Mr LW tells me he has to have a "back to work" interview. !!!!!!?? He was off for just a week, with a very nasty bacterial infection, and this is the first sick leave he's had in six years! He says it's nothing to worry about, but telling me not to worry is somewhat less effectual than telling birds not to poop on clean washing.:(
I've made the dough for tonight's pizza (thankfully Mr LW has now finished his anti-flybotics, so can eat what he likes again), and I've just put the BM on for a loaf; I guess I'd better stop prevaricating, and go and dust the bedroom.:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW - they seem pretty standard fare these days to be honest! I had some 'women's problems' about a year ago and I had 4 days off and I had to have an interview...... Thankfully I managed to have it with the school administrator ( a woman) and not the boss ( male)!!!!!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0

2 - press down
sorry couldn't resist :rotfl:
am cleaning kitchen and bathroom
LW re the interview - he can have union in there if he thinks it necessary - Hex would be a good person to ask but not sure she's around. But as has been said they're fairly standard.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Thanks, CY and Valli; he's completely unfazed - he says it won't be til next week, as the chap who's got to do it is too busy this week (it's his immediate superior, who I gather is an all-round good egg), and Mr LW says it's just to fulfill the HR dept's requirement for paperwork; it's reassuring to me to know it's routine these days though.:o
I haven't worked for 13 years:( and when I was at work, we only had to have them if there was a "problem" (eg excessive amounts of sick leave, or a long absence - I had one after a 3-month absence with a broken jaw, which only turned out to be that long because they wouldn't excuse me from telephone work til my wires were out).
I shall try to stop worrying, now.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

It's people covering their backs esp. if they think anything may be contagious or work related.
I think I've put this week in a spare carrier bag and lost the dratted thing:rotfl:‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Am tot free again. Took them swimming with mil this morning, and she is having her friends 2 eldest to stay over, and wanted my two to stay for a proper pyjama party. I'd not packed anything for them, so no pyjamas. But I did have an emergency bag in the boot with spare nappies and a change of clothes. I didn't have any of littlest moo's milk, but we have been doing half and half with cows milk this week, so she will just have to go the whole hog. And hopefully her tum will stand up to the change...
So, made myself some nice food, stuck the tv on, and browsing mse. Will do some hhc in garage later, and a s&s all round. Have also done one wash.
DS was great swimming. He's lost a lot of confidence since all the changes at home, and usually he clings on for dear life. But last week he found one of those foam swimming noodles at the carboot sale. We went in the shallow pool, I wrapped it round him, and walked whilst holding him up in it. Once he started kicking his legs, I slowly let go, and he was paddling away from me, and didn't realise I wasn't holding onto him till he reached the other side! I thought he'd freak out, but he didn't, just turned around and paddled right back to me still resting on the noodle! Proud mummy alert, lol
