Help - How to get money back from a [Text removed by MSE Forum Team] website?

OP, there are plenty of warnings online about this site, indeed they are a scam by the looks of it. Getting your money back is highly unlikely considering how you paid for the goods, that method alone would send alarm bells ringing to me.
Its an expensive lesson to learn and the last thing you need to hear is a lecture on it. Unfortunately I have not come across anyone who has successfully got their money back, the chances of you getting any money back is very slim indeed.
I would strongly advise in future purchases to Google any potential companies online for potential scams or warnings and NEVER agree to purchase items online by transferring money into their account in this manner.
Sorry OP but its not good news I can offer you.
Good advice. I would say though that I have got refunds a couple of times when my hands have been tied to use a site I was unsure of (against my better judgement) You really need to be on their back 24/7 though. This depends entirely on whether they actually intended on ever sending anything though. But even then, I have known a baseball bat come in very handy by certain people. This is of course not something I would ever condone or advise though clearly.
So my point being, don't just write it off straight away.0 -
Thanks for all the replies. Guessing small claims court might be an opton but think you need a person to state who the claim is against. Anybody know if this is the case? Just wondering if its worth pursuing this option? If I was rich I wouldn't care about money. Think I should be rich because I don't care about money now! :beer:0

My only advice is to never give up trying, that you have their account details is certainly a bonus as to having enough details to finding them. Its certainly not going to be easy, but leave no stone unturned.
Good luck OP.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Good luck OP.
Exactly, too many people put it down to experience and move on but explore every avenue first. Remember it is your money someone is swanning around with, you need it to eat you up inside as this will ensure you get the result you want

What's the sort code? That will tell you who they bank with. Google for "sort code lookup".
If you are lucky you can pin it down to a branch.
Contact that banks fraud department as well as your own.
Contact Trading Standards as well.0 -
Sort Code came up trumps but when I phoned they weren't interested! If I was rich I wouldn't care about money. Think I should be rich because I don't care about money now! :beer:0

What about your own bank?
Have you tried Trading Standards?
Now you know where they bank, have a look at the phone book and see if you can find their address.
If you can identify them then you can take them to court.0 -
Whois will at least give you an address of the website's registrant.
Their Contact Us webpage* has the same address together with a Northern Ireland address.
There is also a Company Number and a VAT number on that webpage.
There is a note on that webpage...
Not a good sign. Please note our customer service line will be closed until further notice due to work on the lines.
*as mentioned above, takes a long time to load.0 -

Robinson's 'phone number is not ex-directory, I've PM'd it to the OP. Shouldn't be bashful about calling it since his home address is also the company registered address.

Digging around I get the distinct impression that they are not so much dishonest as downright incompetent.
