After you've cleaned the loo, sink and bath go over it with a tissue with a couple of drops of essential oil on it (lemon is nice). The next time you come to clean it the dirt will clean off easier because it won't stick to it so well.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Scraper is a must to get the thick off, apart from what ever body else had adviced would sugar soap work?......Just a thought anyway.

If you could beg or borrow a steam cleaner from someone, it would melt down all the grease and crap and sanitise at the same time getting rid of any bacteria and bugs etc.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0

Steam cleaner is good, I find it quiet good at cleaning stains in carpets, mirrors, windows and grease around the kitchen.0

we had the same issue and sugar soap was the key to sparkling cupboard tops.
Good luck!

Scrape what you can off and get stardrops, soda crystals, supermarket own brand bleach and some vinegar

I'm going to vote for stardrops - I've recently done exactly the same task, and the stardrops cut through the grease with no problems!0

A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0

I've had to resort to a scraper and WD40. And it was my gunk. (There doesn't seem to be a smiley for shame...)If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0
-
when you've got rid of most of the gunk, try microfibre cloths - they trap dirt instead of pushing it around. Good luck0
