If being truthful to a bully is bad then so be it.
But may I point out I am not the only one on here who thinks her a bully, but I am one that will no longer point up with it. Or maybe we should just let carry on with her snide remarks, if it makes you feel better.
So what is wrong with your life?
One could argue Dunroamin makes snide comments, others would say she is simply stating the truth - no different to what you feel that you are doing.
Other people may think Dunroamin is a bully. On this very thread a few posters have commented on the way you are behaving.
It amazes me that posters will cry foul of others yet behave in the very way they are complaining that others do.
You may be of the thought that you will not put up with Dunroamin being a bully but you do not come at this with clean hands, so to speak. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

I made a simple comment that I was glad this new education system was not being bought in until after my dd had started her A-levels, to be told I was somehow wrong. My wishes are not wrong, they are simply my wishes.
She has been accused of bullying on a number of threads, and sadly I am beginning to see the point of her victims.
So Dunroamin disagreed with something you said and you took it personally?
Then you decided to seek 'revenge' by posting spiteful comments.
I think that says more about you than Dunroamin.
I agree with Missmoneypenny - maybe you'd benefit from stepping away from the keyboard for a while?0 -
The situation currently is that there are many students in FE who are there simply because of the bursary payments and the child related benefits their parents receive. The edict to remain in education and training will not affect that very much imo.
Schools will not be obliged to retain students who do not meet the academic requirements for their 6th forms, but those students will find places elsewhere either in colleges or apprenticships or training of some other kind. The funding will be there for this....until the goalposts change again!! Which they will.
The college I work at would, like most others I come into contact with, put on a course for chimps if it was funded!! Bums on seats is the order of the day. If there is demand and funding a course will happen.
I agree with the other posters about personal comments, they are unnecessary and childish. Unfortunately, there seems to be a rash of it about lately.0 -
I have just had the ultimate insult levelled at me on another thread....that I am an AE for Fifer!!:rotfl::T Or looked at another way he has just had the ultimate insult levelled at him.....;)
I can't wait for him to see it!!0 -
How can this be???? I was about to ask the same question.
You are getting about £800 per month in benefits and you are both working and now complaining.
I cant stand the tories, but thank god they are putting an end to benefit handouts like this.
Here is the advice
Get your son to pay the shortfall....he is an adult.
That way, he is paying his own way, you keep what you are imagining you are entitled to, and i dont have to foot the bill for either of you.
I will get grief for this post, but i am sick and tired of paying for other peoples children, lifestyles, and general well being, when i pay for my family out of my own pocket.
My son has done the same and shot himself in the foot, so to speak. My reaction to him dropping out of a course and starting work full time is "you're in the real world now and have to pay your way!" He has the fringe benefits of having his meals cooked and his laundry done when he gets in after a hard days work. I on the other hand get in and cook tea and do laundry after a long day, so he's still benefiting from living at home in that way.
As for the loss of Tax Credits - that's life I'm afraid! My parents did not have the benefits of all that extra support - and there were 7 of us! I've just gotta be a little extra savvy and spend less, which is why I'm on here :-)0 -
I doubt he'll be lost for words, which will be terse and to the point . Which may lead someone to accuse him of being an AE for Dunroamin :rotfl:I have just had the ultimate insult levelled at me on another thread....that I am an AE for Fifer!!:rotfl::T Or looked at another way he has just had the ultimate insult levelled at him.....;)

I take nothing she says personally. Why should I ? Thankfully I do not know her in the real world. My life is fine without her and her anti-disabled comments.
I have no need to step away from the keyboard. I will simply do what many have done before me and stick her in my ignore list. So she can type all her anti disability benefits and her know it all about everything carp to herself.0 -

It is you that is coming across as a bully. Dunroamin is not "anti disability", she just has a more worldly wise/ realistic view of the situation than most.0 -

Up to you, obviously, but you may find it interesting/useful to read back over your recent posts on this thread once the dust settles.0
