  • Well, its been a while since I last posted. My mother was due to go for open heart surgery in Dec 2007, we were in the hospital for the op.. and got told it was cancelled, as they had no beds available. We then went back in early Jan 2008, and although the op was sucessful, she did not react at all well to the surgery and was under heavy sedation for over 1 month, whilst they tried to stabilse all her vital organs as they had shut down... :(

We eventually left the hospital on Feb 10th... 1 whole month since the op, and although mum is home, she is still very poorly and weak, but all the same happy to be at home.

So as you can see my schedule has been a little hectic!

Just to add to my update for Dec 2007 - Feb 2008:

Have got an increase in my wages hourly rate has gone up from £6.85 to £8.50.. effective from Feb 1st and will be in this months pay packet ..YAY!! I am still looking for another job.. I just have to find one that pays more than my current wages.

Had a huge purge of unwanted items last week - sold very quickly on ebay - Total: £1,578.20p.!! A couple of bills can be paid !

Christmas was great, as I asked for "useful" presents (she my previous entry), and got a very nice hair cut out of it. Work clothes have been bought with vouchers from well known deparment stores.

I hope this reaches e1 in good health... and lots of wealth!
  • Hi Gemqueen,

I know this is stupid o'clock but couldnt sleep and fount this thread. Well done on what you have managed to achieve. It goes to show what a great bunch of people there are on here. Myself, I have just made the first payment of a IVA (not an ideal way of dealing with our £85,000 mess) and i feel for the first time able to breathe a bit easier. Only 59 to go and a lump sum payment.

Well done all for supporting GQ.

    Welllllllllllll helloooooooooooooooooooooooo MY FRIENDS!!
It's been a while hasnt it????? To update you all:

I was looking for another job, but my present employer has updated my wages again to £10.00 per hr! HOOOORAHHHHH :T

I am a regular seller on ebay and so far have accumulated £4,325.27p

All my debts are being paid in an agreement except for 1 in the hands of HFI a company who will NOT agree to any instalments at all and want the whole amount. I have simply said I cannot pay it.

My mum is much better since her recovery with her open heart surgery, and although she is not 100%, she is here and we all appreciate it.

My utility bills are being paid in small instalments and are up to date. My birthday is coming up in October and again I will be asking for useful gifts ie: Oyster card top up, money towards utility bill, grooming vouchers etc.

I hope this update finds you all well. Remember U R NOT ALONE if you are in debt - I thought this and how wrong was I? This site saved me from doing something extremely stupid, and I will be forever grateful to all those who took the time to contact me. :smileyhea :happylove :lovethoug :happyhear
