Hi Gem
Just read your posts and was horrified at how you felt initially and so glad now that you feel more positive!
Just think, if you look back a couple more months down the line you'll wonder why you were so worried!
If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

STATUS: MAY/JUNE 2007
Thanks for the messages e1, here is the status for May/JUNE 2007:
Whilst waiting for Payplan, I negiotiated some payments with some of my debtors.
Payplan, are dealing with those who refuse to take less monthly payments, namely: BARCLAYCARD, GE MONEY. (Yeah I named and shamed ya)!!
2 interviews I went for, I was short listed but did not get, but on the plus side I am now doing 34.5hrs at the GP surgery. During May, I have accumulated some overtime.
The council tax and rent allowances have been sent to the respective offices and they say I can pay a reduced council tax, however they say I owe them £821.00 in rent rebate, as I did not tell them I was in employment (Albeit, it was 10hrs, then 20hrs, then 24hrs per week). I am contesting this, as I did inform the job centre of my changes of circumstances all the way along.
I have Freeview. (Yay boo .. SKY..)
First salary to go into my new bank account this month... I am on tenterhooks, it simply must go there.. I have bills to pay!!
Letter to Natwest sent, re: Bank charges in April, as yet, no reply from them, and they did receive the letter as I sent it via recorded delivery and have the proof that someone actually signed for it.
2 Car boot sales completed in April and May, monies from both went to pay for electricity and gas bills. I made £300.00 in total.
More to follow in the next update.

GemQueen GE Money were a total nightmare for me too, eventually they got the message though and have finally accepted reduced payment. Just keep telling them to get in touch with payplan and putting the phone down on them. The penny will drop for them soon.0

My bank have not got back to me at all since sending them a letter regarding my charges. Can any1 tell me if the 40 day wait for response, is 40 actual days or 40 working days?
Thanks all.
Had a slap up chinese meal today, after all the over time I have put in! Yum food never tasted so good!0 -

Hi Gem :hello:
thanks for the update and well done you :T wow you have come so far and 'sound' like you are totally getting on top of things now - thats fantastic :T fingers crossed for you bank charges, I hope you get them back soon. Martin has done an update ( link on the home page or the newsletter I think ) on another way to claim them without going to court - I havent read up on it myself but I think it has something to do the the banking ombudsman. Sorry can not answer your question but I think 40 actual days ( not working ) is more than fair enough for them to reply.

Thanks for your replys. I'm gunna get onto the bank straight away.
All debtors with the exception of Barclays and GE Money have accepted my offer of monthly amounts. Paypal are looking into that for me.
The only other worry is the £800.00 the benefits say I owe for housing benefit, which I thought I had told them about more than 2/3/4 times, it turns out I sent all the details to the DWP - I actually thought the 2 establishments worked together, as the DWP wrote to me telling me I was not entitled to housing benefit as I had started work.... I am a bit worried about it, as it is another debt, but I suppose I can not fight it..
Still its just a little knock back. I wont let it get me down!
Fight the good fight eh??
Good luck to any1 else battling out there!0
