I really thought I had posted in this diary at least once during June but obviously not. Unless the thread got hit by the phantom deleter.

So I have now finished my first assignment at the paid stuff and am into my second one which takes me to mid August.

Life is pretty good and I'm looking forward to going on holiday.

Today I will do gardening and go to the local school fayre.

Budgets intact (actually very good last month) but savings not quite where they should be but I have a bonus due in August which should mean I catch up with my target.

Got some really good bargains in f@rmf00ds yesterday even though I forgot to take the money off voucher with me. Tins of tuna working out at 66p each and C0rnettos at 21p each, amongst other stuff. All three freezers are now full including with produce from the garden.

Good to see you posting again Jazee and sounding so positive. (Wish I could add more but my brain has ceased functioning.)

    Hi Jazee

Just caught up with your thread - glad things have settled down for you and that life is "pretty good". I think that's all that most of us can ever hope for!

Thanks HB and Iona for reading and commenting.

Life is still pretty good. I'm off the paid stuff now for a week or so, but found out yesterday that I've got assignments to take me right into September so that's good.

In family news, we're now planning two weddings, not just the one so that is very exciting if a little scary.

In MSE news I'm managing to squirrel a little something to the savings pots most day.

To anyone following, have a great day.

That sounds much more positive than the position you were in when you started your diary, Jazee. I'm so glad the work situation isn't as dire as you first feared, and that you've got enough to tide you over to September.

Two weddings to look forward to, and managing to put something by for a rainy day - result!

Wow, almost four months since I last posted.

I now have worked booked in till at least the beginning of March so that is reassuring. I'm also earning about 5% more than I was so am able to save even more than I expected to. The work I'm doing is really good too, it's just the daily commute I don't like. One trip home took 2 3/4 hours when it should be 1 hr.

Wedding planning is going well. DD is panicking as not everything is running as smoothly as she would like. I have spent this morning sewing some detail on to a bridesmaid dress. Whether it will pass her inspection is another matter.

The doggies are doing great. Poppet was scared of the fireworks last night and sat on the settee shaking. So LittleyDog went over and laid on top of her for the evening which settled her down. They're amazing animals aren't they?

I have a new mobile contract (super MSE £3.50 per month) so need to let everyone know my new number. That's a job for later once I've washed the lunch dishes.

I hope anyone reading is having a great day.

That sounds as though you're back in a much calmer, happier place, Jazee. So glad to hear that the work situation isn't the wipeout you thought it might be.

And another two months whizz's by. DD was pleased with the bridesmaid dress, phew!

Although I have work booked till March, Jan is now looking a little dodgy and I still don't like the commute so am looking at alternatives including redundancy.

    2018 - Bring it on.....
