Morning diary. The morning has started with an email from the lottery - £10 win, also won £25 earlier in the week. That's my kind of start to the day.

Had a lovely day out yesterday, just perfect. And I spent less than £30 and that included getting some shopping on the way home.

Today, I am planning to potter. I had my Easter egg last night so no more for me today. Lamb for dinner which I need to get in the slow cooker shortly (if it will fit).

    Happy Easter everyone.

Morning diary. A busy week at the paid stuff - the to do list keeps getting longer and longer. Spends wise - meal out with DH, DD and her BF but not to the expensive restaurant as DH originally planned - he will become more MSE savvy!!

I've also purchased tickets to see a comedian/magician in July which should be good. And bought stuff for the garden, compost and such like.

A bit of a week with the dogs, OldDog hit and miss with her meds. LittleyDog having 'accidents'.

Today I am planning on going along to a sports club in the village with a view to joining and tomorrow I have free tickets to go to the cinema.

Just as well really, the weather isn't looking too good.

Shopping today, just some fresh veg as have everything else in for the week.

Well diary, two weeks since posting because I didn't want to write down how out of control the finances feel at the moment. Nothing to the problems some folk have on these threads but never the less I am losing control of my budgets not helped by DH going over his again and again despite a rise in it. But it's me too, I am already 'borrowing' next months budget, ridiculous really.

Anyway, other things, dogs both doing ok at the moment, I joined the sports club (which will only start to cost me today but is very reasonable and fun) and have had some good free days out - cinema, castle etc.

Today, I plan to walk the dogs, plant some seeds and spend the afternoon at the sports club.

Another week has passed in a blur of paid stuff and activities. Very busy and more unexpected expenses. The biggest being £260 vet bills for OldDog and we still don't know what's wrong with her, except we do really - she is just soooo old.

I have been paid this week but haven't actually sorted the months finances yet. I already know in my head that not only had I already been spending this month's salary before I got it, I've started to spend next month's too.

I now have all my equipment for the sports club and have paid my membership for the year. I'm really enjoying it, but ache in parts I never knew I had.

Also started attending a series of lectures with DH this week. Works out at less than £10 a week and we're actually doing something together.

So another bank holiday weekend is upon us. I plan to walk the dogs and garden if it is dry (which it is at the moment) and do finances, house cleaning and some more paid stuff if it is wet.

The week ahead will be another busy one, paid stuff, hospital appointments and I suspect more time at the vet.

Right time to do a meal plan and try to just use as much as I can from the freezers.

I hope anyone reading has a brilliant weekend.

Well a rarity yesterday, the day went as planned. It was dry so I did dog walking, one of which I combined with shopping at the farm and baker (only spent £12.74) and then spent the rest of the day gardening. I got a lot done and am really pleased as today it is pouring with rain.

So today, I plan to get in the gym, catch up with the ironing, do the finances, some paid stuff and the dailies, or at least to see how far I get.

    I love 3 day weekends.

Woohoo, another day off and it's looking lovely and sunny outside. So my plan today is dog walking and gardening. Although I do need to at least hoover through the house too.

And I do believe that yesterday was a NSD for me (can't say the same for DH).

Another expensive week unfortunately. Unexpected repairs to the car have already cost £100, further repairs are expected to take the total to about £400. Enough said...

More than a week since I last posted and MSE wise I am glad to report that finances are looking great for a change. DH got a bonus so emergency savings pot has doubled and I can buy myself something I've had my eye on for a while.

Also, no unexpected spends this week. Spent yesterday catching up with friends I've known for the three decades I've known DH. Lots of travelling, catching up on old places, and good food and we came in under the budget we set for ourselves.

Today I will potter about, walk the dogs, do the dailies and get out in the garden.

I hope anyone reading has a great day.

Almost another week without posting. DH and I went out for a meal to celebrate our 30th anniversary and have spent quite a lot of time together this week, with evenings out and docs appts, what a mix.

Have used some of the bonus to give ourselves little treats.

Today, just pottering, have bottom of the fridge soup on the go, will make some fruit salad and salads for packed lunches too. A couple of dog walks and gardening is in order.

Two weeks since I last posted. So some MSE updates -

    Have ordered new shed
    Have changed bank accounts
Continue to probably spend too much on unnecessary things

Have had a week off the paid stuff and caught up on jobs in the garden and got my hair cut. DH had some treatment this week which hasn't worked so a great disappointment there.

Back to the paid stuff tomorrow although I'm about to have a sneaky peak to see what awaits me.

Today, I am planning to go in the gym, walk the dogs, hoover and mop through the house and maybe do some more gardening before an afternoon out (probably) with DH.

I hope anyone reading has a great day.
