I arent going to give up. I feel a bit sorry for them. They have picked on me without realising that I have too much spare time on my hands (I work 2 weeks out of every 5) and was looking for a 'project'. I was thinking more along the lines of Airfix models or a classic car perhaps, but this will do for now.

As for chess... I was my highschool chess champion. Honestly!

I'm sure you are already aware of this, but it is obvious from other threads on MSE involving negativity towards QS that they monitor any traffic relating to themselves.

So, when you are posting here, it is probably prudent to assume that they will see it.

    Anyhow...good luck OP!
  • Nukumai... I would have thought they monitor this, which is fine. They will see I am serious and fully intend to take it all the way to get my money back. Perhaps they will read this and see they do not have any reason to keep my money and refund in full.

Out of interest, what harm could it possibly do by them monitoring this?

Get back on the phone to your bank, goods not received is a valid reason for a chargeback!!

Id also give them 14 days to respond, in case it gets delayed or something. Send recorded.

If they fail to respond file a claim online

    https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/web/mcol/welcome

Takes 10 minutes and very user friendly.
  • I will try my bank again, but I dont think they will help. I dont think they fully understand and because it is getting complicated as they refunded me something, I dont think they are interested.

I will go through moneyclaim online. Can this be directed at a company rather than a person though? I took a very quick look (I am packing to go home) and seems I can only put a persons name, unless I just put 'QS supplies'.

Thank you all again. You have been such a great help and I really appreciate it!

Yes you can file against a company online :)

Their company name, registered office and company number should be on their website, in an email or on the invoice
  • Super. I will do that if they fail to respond. I am going to get the letter tracked. It says 7 days on it, I think they have had long enough to be reasonable. If they dont respond after 7 days I will wait a couple more then file against them.

I owe you all a pint! If and of you are in East Yorkshire then I am buying!

NOTE. The above statement is not legally binding and does not form a contract with everyone on MSE. Free pint is at my sole discretion.

PS, please dont pick apart my 'contract', it is in jest as I am in a good mood because my chopper will be here soon and I am going home.

Note: make it 7 days from receipt, as it's not impossible for a letter to be delayed. This way you'll show as being reasonable IF it goes to court.
  • I'd suggest you put an actual date in rather than 7 days from receipt.
    Thinking critically since 1996....
  • I have put on the letter that I want a reply by the 31st of August. I think that is long enough. It is going recorded so I will be able to see if it gets delayed.

I should think this letter will make then refund anyway so hopefully it wont go to court, but I am prepared if it does.
