Thankyou! and these forums have been great to keep my mind off things and doing batch cooking/bargain hunting, and hubby enjoys it too, we hit rock bottom on the 31st of may this year and lost everything apart from our house and children(the business, car, etc, my family) due to my husbands drinking getting worse he was no longer a functioning alcoholic. So hopefully life is on the up from now on, we are on benefits (husband has a job waiting for him when he has done the 18 weeks at rehab) at the moment so using these forums has really helped financially there is so much great help and advice its brilliant and I shall never be embarressed to hunt in the reduced section again!:rotfl:

Just wanted to wish you good luck for the future, you have really been through the mill but sound so positive that I am sure you will win out in the end.

Moonjelly i would definately send it back or ring them and let them know.

Have a nice evening all - i have a few spends to add, but cba at mo.

I emailed Tesco and I received a phone call the following day. The Tesco rep profusely apologised and said a refund was on it way (3-5 business days). Thank you to all the posters here who suggested I kick a fuss over the horrible mince. It worked! :T

Wishing you both loads of luck and strength. A close friends brother was an alcoholic and I saw what hard difficult and stressful times they had and not all financial. I really hope it works out for you all.

Littlemiss - congratulations on the safe arrival of your little one.

Updating spends which now come to £96-30 and am half way through doing shopping list for tomorrow. My daughter has just picked me up one of the 3kg bags of pasta from T3sco for £2 as I try to avoid going in there if possible. Will add that on to tomorrows shop though.
Will probably reduce Octobers amount but not sure yet by how much, will think about it. We will have son home more often though for a few weeks as he on leave after a long tour of duty:D and he can eat!
