    Pennygrabber - yeah i know that feeling, mad panic when guests coming, i have a spare room and it used to go in there - it got really bad till i sorted it. Good luck in uncovering all the carpet

I am in such an emotional turmoil at the moment, i have too much on my plate, but i would love to give it a try in a few weeks - i hope someone does though, so we can see how they do, p.s. love that banana jam recipe, will have to try that
    Pixiedust - i know kitchenaid are the big name, and they do look lovely, but ideal world do one that is the same cast metal or whatever it is (sorry, bad description) and they look really strong and on special for £149 with 4 monthly interest free paymets and almost identical.

  • Evening everyone this month I haven't posted much but I've managed to keep up with the thread and keep track of my spending.

    Morr!sons £16.38 (mainly fruit and OTC meds)
    Home Barga!ns £7.18 (jars for the store cupboard)
    Ald! £4.10 (mainly milk)
    Pharmacy £15.30 (2x prescriptions)
    Already spent £167.22

    Total spend for September so far £210.18 / £300

    We have plenty of fruit and veg but will need milk and probably cheese come the weekend and maybe eggs.
    Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
    79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

  • Congratulations to little Miss.Last weeks spends were £60 Mr M and £16in butchers.One more shop before payday. Should easily make it.Since starting the challenge have been saving £200 pcm. Really pleased.Also cupboards are fuller and we have been eating much bettet. Win,win, win really. Thinking about going to £275 for october.

    Hey everyone - please be gentle with me when it gets to the October GC!

    Need to get potatoes and veggies so will probably pop to MrC when doing the school run. Managed to harvest one solitary runner bean from the garden this morning - how this is meant to go between 5 hungry people is beyond me :o

    Loving the water bath method. The lid pops right in and seals em lovely :)

    I am happy leaving these a year before consumption now. Wasn't as confident before. Yay!!!!

    2 spends ..£3.50 yesterday on salad £3.50 today on fruit and carrots..tomorrow will be a NSD..I am shopping at Meadow**ll but just clothes for my youngest so no grocery spends.
    Feeding 6 Adults 1 Teen a 8 year old with hollow legs and a very fussy 5 year old. Also 3 cats and 3 fishies
    To include all Food,Toiletries and Petfood.
