    Hi everyone,

Spent £11.24 in MandS today on dinner for tonight plus a couple of treats :o All because a friend had a freebie pass for two people for the new gym in town. I spent the day there: an hour in the gym, 1.5 hours yoga, followed by 45mins zumba. Don't think I'll be able to walk tomorrow :rotfl:

Hobbling off to update my sig.

  • Woohoo!! Another nsd today for me!!
just read all the posts about rice. I used to really not like plain rice but mil showed me how she cooks her rice, its so yummy!
She simply puts a fair amount (quite a bit really) of olive oil in the bottom of a saucepan and adds a clove of garlic with the rice and water, salt as well obviously. on a low heat to boil it. I love it and now have rice with quite a lot of things.

  • No grocery spends since Saturday:j
Have been taking packed lunches to work and slowly working my way through the stuff in the fridge in date order (for once!)
I'll make it to Saturday without having to do another shop. I have another £6 off a £30 spend voucher for Mr S but I'm not sure if I need to spend that much - may just go to Aldi and B&M instead. Will write a list and see what I really need.
  • Since i last posted i have spent 20.51, so total current spend this month is 62.58.

Currently trying to clear out our freezer one drawer at a time.
  • evening folks, Can I declare a spend of £63.95 for grocery's this week. Have had a lot of NSD's this month, but I've lost count :o Still in budget so far :j.

Another week done for me, My monthly budget is £400 so I'm trying for £100 a week. At the end of the second week....
    £195 / £400 :)

£400 was a much reduced amount compared to my pre-GC days so I am really pleased with how it is going. We move next month so will have an oven again which is really going to help!!!

    Morning,
I hope everyone is well, I need to catch up on the thread.:o
No shopping the last few days as I just can't get used to going to work again. It is draining both mentally and physically. It is good though, I am getting through it. :)
I have been using the slow cooker the last few days to make it easier for me. Everything has been from stocks.
Chicken and bacon chassuer and chicken and noodle soup.
I'm off today and planning another low spend day or nsd.
I'm going to make several pizza bases for the freezer for during the week. I'm also going to make a big pan of chicken curry for Saturday and prepare a meal of some kind for tomorrow as well. Carbonarra maybe or sausage casserole.
I am off on Sunday as well so I will do some more batch cooking then.
I am determined that the takeaways will not sneak back in.

  • Well a silly £7.82 spent last night when I only needed milk! However it was all YS or tins/jars on rollback that we will need in time - just not right now!

Just realised as well that there are still 3 weekend shops to go this month so not sure how i'll do with the budget but shouldn't need much this weekend - we'll see!
